Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

So whats a good system for getting upgrades for a vulture near Lugh?

I want a large gimballed cannon, also a better power plant and power distributor

unfortunately there isn't such thing as a large (C3) gimballed cannon.

I go to arth for my upgrades. they have most things at the first station there, but if you still can't find something, try zeaex (first station again).

the various stations in lugh have a respectable variety of upgrades though, if you don't mind station hopping to check.

How about we approach this from a new perspective...

We could load up our combat ships with gold, palladium or platinum, pull over those dastardly weapons traffickers, and offer to Abandon goods of greater net worth than their cargo.

They swap death-dealing weapons of evil for wholesome metals, and we destroy their ejected waste, which is nowt but a navigational hazard. ;)

totally love this idea ^_^

here´s another suggestion for all thos who like to avoid pvp: dry out thos supply routes next to destination. the longer it takes them to jump back and forth, the longer it takes for em to fullfill their goal. plus this strategy works against solotraders as well. will need a huge amount of manpower though....

Well don't want a cannon now anyways cos my god. I hit a cobra with it and it did at best 6% hull damage. For something that costs that much a pop its insulting

Ok so how about a class 3 frag cannon? They any good? From what I understand they're essentially shotguns

you have to keep in mind that cannon damage can be quite random at times, I use fixed burst lasers on my vulture though, they seem to chew up anything they hit

Considering grabbing dual beams.
Expensive but they seem to do the job rather well.
Only problem is I like to have a ballistic weapon for when I inevitably run out of weapon power. Since they consume balls all when firing.

Back on my cobra I head two gimballed beam lasers and two multicannon. It worked quite well.
Can't really recreate that with the vulture

Last night we (Emperors Grace) killed 3 type 6s and an Asp in the Khaka. We have also met allies from the East India Company blocking the system. Despite of us being very active, some traders are still trying to reach their goal in the open.

I must say i do rescpect this guys. They could go solo or private, its very few of them and there was NOT EVEN A ONE Fed pilot trying to protect them, yet they were still doing their job. Respect.

And to be clear: blocking a system is NOT about killing the traders. Its about luring combat pilots into the system and have a go at them.

I think that barneby is right. Dry out supplies is the best way to slow down traders. :D

Erm, oh?. I though blockading Khaka from getting weapons related cargo into Queroshi Enterprise station means exactly that, i.e. killing or diverting away those traders. The combat with other Federal patrolling pilots protecting them is just a fun bonus and great gameplay :p

That is a great idea. Supplies dried up quickly for Gifts, if pacifists did the same for the Fed market it could have quite a dramatic effect.

Did the Federation scum do this to us during our trader community goal? I only ask because I shifted 2k in a T6 and never saw any action from them.

I propose we send Mauze out - he's got enough credits that he could go into a station, buy 400-odd tons of weapons, fly out 10km, dump them all and repeat :) Or supercruise to a new instance if you think people would be bothered to cargo scoop, but that wouldn't be worth it!

I use a C3 beam laser and a C2 cannon, both gimballed. little bit of pew, little bit of boom.

I know I could do better with a coupe C3 pulse lasers, but that's boring! I like the variety

I don't agree with the stopping players in open, it seems futile with all the ones in solo / private. But buying guns and selling them at their station, without doing the community goal. Would accomplish two things, drain stocks around their station and fill the quota allocated without adding the CG. Or sell said guns to an independant in the same system.

If people have money to burn ejecting cargo near a station may not be such a bad idea. Traders waste time scooping it up and get fines for having stolen gear when they're scanned:p

Could you not block open play by getting a few people to park in the hand-in station landing pads when they go to dinner? "Docking request denied" would get pretty tedious pretty fast.

If I continue hauling weapons to Balandin, that trade will still contribute to CSG's system influence, yes?

Or does that even matter anymore?

hmm have they moved /changed the conflict zones around? there's now just a checkpoint and a low intensity CZ aound knight dock ( there were 3 before a HI and two low intensity ones), Read gateway has a low intensity sega port has two hi intensity and a checkpoint....and there are others

It is a mystery, and Frontier will always be cagey about how it works until it works. It should. That doesn't mean it will, and I don't think anything can help CSG's influence now, since it seems to be sub-zero.

Griff, we'd appreciate a summary of what's out there post-war if you'd be so kind... Has the cap ship gone? Convoys? Status of Hartsfield Market? Most of us are at RL work
