Abandoned [RELEASE] Trade Computer Extension

I've started afresh with tce
1. installed 1.38 to a nice new drawer
2. updated to 1.38 b4
started it all ok but no database at all?
tried to import from old tce but import greyed out.
also decided to move my ocr drawer to inside tce (used to have it running for other s/w)
but how do I now tell tce where it is?? option screen for paths only sjows up once at first startup
also how do I import from old tce or find data for this one (I do like something to start from and the old database was great) I don't really want to start from just 2 stations)

your can continue to use your old database, simply copy it over the release database, which is empty. Perhaps i can make a download link for the old 150 station database.

I release a standalone setup, to change the path, as you wanted. Here is the beta version of it:https://www.dropbox.com/s/8j1kwcp57ibmtb9/TCE Setup_V0.9beta.zip?dl=0
Copy it into the TCE folder.

It will be included into the next full release.

I need some help here for the Personal Logbook, i create atm. I need all type names of inner system locations of interest, that are persistant like:

- Warzones (all types)
- Mining places (all minerals and metals minable)
- etc.

and is it just my copy or all 1.38v4 have the import greyed out.

I'm starting to pull my hair out here just cant seem to get it to work properly.
i'v got the latest version up and running but with no data

so I've copied over the db folder which should give me the 150 stations plus my updates... .. is that right...

but it crashes everytime I press the trade button it opens a blank trade table then just beeps everywhere I press.. the debug shows up this part with yellow bit highlighted??
does 1.38 use the db different and is looking in the wrong place or using the wrong name for the images of stations???

Systems KANUR an KANU1

KANU1 is No. 3205 in your database
KANUR is No. 21588

Now as I'm moving around systems between Nos. 2981 through 3379 if begs to reason that the system No. is right, but the name is wrong.
Unforutnately the co-ordinates for the system appear more accurate under No. 21588 than 3205.
So it might be better to make 3205 the real record, and 21588 some other system in the database.

Installed 1.38 full but didn't overwrite the databases, then installed 1.38b4 over the top. (So I am still running a 1.37 database). Should I have installed and then imported instead?

I was in komovoy system and don't think that's is in the database so it canna find pics?? as no station id for it.
once I added it in putting in all the station id it seems to be working ok.
seems to have a problem when you are in a unknown area and try to tell it to look for trades..
it throws a wobbly.. might need to put a pop-up box to tell stupid cmdrs like me it canna trade or look for trades when it does not know where it is.

The AppPath variable gets TCE at the very first line of the start sequence. You can get the variable content as a bubble, if you hover above the variable name.
In your case, i think it has to do with the POS_SysData array. Its a copy of the Station table of your database.

Did you landed at a station, that TCE had recognized before the error?

Good to hear, that you found the issue. With the new import function, i want to make, there will be a repair option, to reduce that type of problems.

I have now - no errors

Looks like my db is borked.

Please use it for the moment now. I make a completly new standalone Database Manager with a repair function. You can add the data later, or you can send me your database, so i could look, whats going wrong.

Using v1.38b3 at present and I have noticed that on occasions data which I have entered under the star system notes will disappear - looking in the database shows a blank note entry for the system concerned. Although it doesn't happen every time which seems strange.

I can only think that the link between excel and access isn't updating correctly - is this possible?

I just went on a 200ly journey, it asked me to enter star data for an unknown system, as I was in a rush I just hid it and carried on. when I got to my destination it was still locked at that system. Maybe you could add an ignore function if you don't want to update the new info.

I restarted TCE and the first error occurred again, I'm assuming it's not finding the system or stations if you're docked at a station when it loads.

Found the error 13 issue and why no unregistered stations are selectable. Will be fixed in next beta.
ADD NEW STATION has no dropdown for the unregistered, only ADD UNREGISTERED STATION has one. It should open automatically, if there are unregistered station inside the star system, but TCE doesnt update them correctly at startup. That will change in next update.

Did you entered the note at the Cartography panel and save it there, or at the star system summary?
