Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Here is my Type 7 racing back to Balandin during the Gifts goal.

Here is my brand spankin' Type 9 Heavy leaving Founder's World. I may have jumped the gun, because I'm a little tight on the rebuy (I like to have many times, but I'm only about 3x, and I don't even have it fully upgraded yet)

Lugh and CSG paid for it all, so I'll be grinding the trade routes I can find to bring back our influence. Missions are looking pretty slight. The first one I found was a "Lugh Needs You" 40000 credit donation to CSG which I promptly fulfilled.

The FSD is definitely my first buy. C is the bare minimum. If you've ever wondered why you get 10 full minutes to dock, it's because of the Type 9. (I'm exaggerating of course) I know after a little slowdown, I'll be raking it in. The FDL was tempting being 18-19 mil cheaper. But the T9 been my goal for a while and I have a feeling the space cow will be needed here in Lugh. Before I disconnected, I delivered 332 tons of fresh Sesuang meat to Knight Dock. In the next few sessions, I'll have it stuffed to the gills with Prog Cells from Arth :)

I'll be in Solo for a little while until I'm a little more padded in the wallet, which in this ship won't take too long.

Don't forget to buy weapons from nearby stations and jettison them into the black. Or sell them somewhere else that isn't Lugh. Whatever you like, so long as you're depleting stocks that the Feds would be buying.

That is my first goal. The Animal Meat was the return trip from Knight Dock. I nearly emptied the place of Personal Weapons in one go (would have, if I had max cargo)
I took them to our friends in Sesuang :)

Supporters of Lugh you are just awesome !

We finished this goal in lightspeed....i dont know what to say anymore you are all just amazing !

Anyway we did all we could give and now its up to other sides...

But for me we won this war since we hit 97 % influence !

Not my style but i have to post a youtube link (i like this version more then the one from 1985) .

Love Freddy Mercury. I think this one's a bit more appropriate though. ;)

Congratulations Sons of Conn! It has been absolutely wonderful what I've lived since December with you brothers in arms. Lugh's War has been the first major conflict in Elite Dangerous short history, but for me it has been too one of the best virtual experiences I've lived in my 30 years as a gamer.

Thanks you all.

/respect

Of course I'll still be here waiting for the reaction of the Federation, if any, and increasing the influence of the CSG in the system.

The fight for Lugh was much fun and I made about 60 million credits there. A few weeks ago I had an a graded viper plus 3 million credits acquired since gamma.

So thank you for the great work!

only downside is I was about 1 million short for the top 5% in spear of lugh and 500 tons short for the 5% in the weapon trading mission.

When civil war is done I will buy myself an Asp and head for the galactic core.

Congrats on a job well done, Crimson State. Very well organized and executed. The Feds need to get some kind of groups going that are as well organized.

Whenever I entered a conflict zone other than the one with the Cap Ship, I would get attacked by a Crimson wing as soon as I chose my faction. You guys were on your A-game, it seems.

Can't wait to see what comes next :)

Slainte, my brothers in arms, Slainte!

We have routed the federation for but one brief moment. Even now they are gathering on our borders. In this moment they cluster like crows over the bodies of our fallen! Purge them from our lands! Show them the glory of a death in battle against the Sons of Conn! Let no federation pilot survive this hour! And when the war is won, turn your hands to building not destruction. Bring to these sons and daughters all that they need, bring them sustenance and bring them the hope we promised them when we took up our swords and spears to fight for them. Make this the home they have dreamed of in their hearts, bring them all that they need to rebuild, to renew their homes.. and stand forever in vigilance to defend them!

Good time. Well if there is a need for support in the future, to fight off an invasion or to free a neighbouring system, put out the call.

(The 40+ million credits didn't hurt, but I need another war to pay for the FdL.)

Not in game right now, but are we sure it is over? I thought that even if we completed Spear of Lugh there would still be some additional final opposing community goals to follow and finish, no?

"And though his enemies be about him,
conspiring in his wake.
To steal and plunder his solemn realm,
his kingdom they would take.
But from out of darkness his children come,
His light shall not been undone.
For from the void comes his Spear of Light!
The return of The Sons of Conn"

The prophecy fulfilled! For was it not written that in the final moments and in Lugh's moment of direst need that the Sons of Conn would return? :)

Last night watching those number plummet sent a shiver up my spine. The prophecy was all I could think about. That damn prohecy! It is true! it is true! :) You could feel the momentum. A truly awe inspiring moment and a gameplay moment to be unequaled.

I am totally blown away by you guys. I really am. :)

Well, GalNet news suggested that there will be phase 2 in Lugh, but not so sure about this with the "Nevermore Incident" and the new onionhead boom in Kappa Fornacis (I have a few tonnes stashed away in my cargo hold) the Feds may be forced to choose between Lugh and Kappa. Not sure if they can afford to split the forces between the two systems, but then again their war budget is huge, so maybe they can. Who knows? Guess we need to watch the news and see what happens.
