The stick has some serious quality issues. Mine was squeaking from day one which lasted for some months.. eventually after 5 months the buttons on the stick died and developed a rattling noise. As well software from mad catz H.U.D does not recognise the stick under Windows 8.1 (on some PCs. Windows 7 the same machine - no problem at all) which the company is totally aware but they're not bothered to address the issue for nearly a year now. You need to add some really weird design solutions as well like ultra high friction on throttle and the stick itself designed for giants hands. But what really lets down this problem is the customer service. I had to sent it to mad catz and from this point things got really weird. I sent it through 24hr service on Monday 02/03/2015. They received it following day. They stated that my replacement should be sent to me within 14 working days and the status of my RMA will be updated accordingly along the process. On the 12/03/2015 after my RMA status not updated since the beginning i dropped them an email asking for an update. The rep following day told me that he can't find the stick and I need to send him a proof of postage which I did the same day. On Monday he replies to me that they don't have anything in stock and he need to get one from Germany. Quick check to Mad Catz online store - plenty to buy right now this moment. I sent to them another 3 emails which they didn't reply to any of them. Then on Friday 20/03/2015 - 2 days before the deadline I phoned them and asked for an update - again the same story - nothing in stock and they will order some from Germany. I asked for a refund as at this point it was impossible to get one before the deadline. Yet again I had to prove when they received it and the rep said that my request needs to go to financial department with urgent status. Now on 24/03/2015 there is no update, no contact with Mad Catz and passed the deadline. They keep my property and no communication. Once i asked to speak to manager - I was told that she is busy and can phone me later. Not bothered at all.
I feel very unfair that they sell those stick to new customers while ignore the ones which are under warranty. The stick has few flaws but it was fantastic in terms of precision but for the hassle and the quality - I won't touch Mad Catz products with a barge pole. I bought it in good faith that it wil last for a while since it did not cost me 5 pence.
One of the guys on ED forum had his with not working switches. He bought it from a reseller and he managed to get him one working within days. So if you want to buy one - don't buy it from Mad Catz store like I did. I'm not saying that everyone will experience such issues like mine but feel warn that this may happen. I am just of customer with bad manufacturer practise and this post is some kind of vendetta and I'm juust being honest with you why I bothered to write it.

Mad Catz came out that on the dead line date sent me a replacement without letting me know even I asked for refund. It came out that 2 days after they dropped the stick at my neighbours and the parcel was squashed on one side. Mu neighbours gave me the parcel on Sunday beacuse they went to their family. I asked for assitance on Mad Catz facebook page and finally supervisor of technical department emailed me. As the parcel was damaged I would not accept the delivery due to not being sure if the content is in working order.
At some point in April they approved the refund and orginised the collection by Parcel Force - no one came for the package. I was waiting all day long for the courier. I was really mad. They kept ignoring my emails and only when i phoned them I managed to push things forward. Once i offerd to them to send it in my own expense which they refused to go this road.
On the 23/04/2015 I received email from them that I will get a refund without prior collecting the device. At the moment I still have packed device in the box which it came in and no refund in my account.
As I said - good stick with few shortcomings - but totally let down by customer service. As Strychnine said - buy from someone who is trusted for customer service - never those guys
Update on 15/06/2015 - I have received my money some time in May. Mad Catz said that they will orginise collection however this not happened. I sent them an email that if they will not collect it I will dispose the device - they said that they still are looking into this but i can feel free to do so. I waited another week dropped them 2 emails which 2 second was answered. Let them to do some stuff few more days and I sent them last email that the device is already disposed of. They closed the ticket without bothering to reply
