There are no atom bombs for space? We need more weapons! Like a weapon that can create singularity it wont be common and take a long time to make! So cant be abuse.

But well fly to a system and shot it off and well players will have to flee the system for awhile. You would easy it as the last alternative if nothing else works. And they should be also a weapon to counter it.

Or perhaps warp ships some where else in the solar system!

Nukes aint very effective in space. It only creates a sphere of super heated plasma, which you bathe in during solar refueling.
There's weapons in the game that are more effective(been fired upon by a python that had plasma accelerators, or if it was rail guns, I dunno it hurt like hell and I didn't stay long to find out).

The amount of energy in such a weapon would require the player to harvest a complete star. It is physically impossible, even it Elite is fiction, it bends some rules. Capital ships when they break out from frame shift they bend the surroundings since they are tearing a huge hole in the space time fabric. That is the closest possible singularity you can get without either having a planet sized ship or breaking all physical rules possible

Its a game. And if you want it to be even 70% realistic then what Einstein state about light speed is impossible. You have these weapons to keep it interesting.
The game wont exist if it wanted to try to obey all the physics of the real world.

But your idea is insane! Elite doesn't stray too far from reality, with few exceptions, like shields. FTL travel is possible with the alcubierre drive theory, google it

Yeah I know what you mean. Games can of course bend rules or be totally fiction, that's the thing with games. But it still would need to fit into the rules of that particular game, so having a ship wielding the power of a thousand suns is like Cmdr Hagglebeard(awesome name bro) said, it's insane xD

keep in mind we are talking about "RAW SPEED", I would personally never want to go FTL in terms of raw speed, you might just end up dead in miliseconds from impacting a rogue asteroid or other spatial body. This is where the Warp Drive and or Hyperspace Drive comes into play...

Now I might be out of line here but some are forgetting it's the year 3300 and if in real life we don't kill our self's off who can say what the human race has or can accomplish in another 1100 years ! you just have to look at what we have done in the last 100 years so using our current real science to debunk or to try and re enforce arguments are well null and void.

Warp theory actually is possible, even Stephen Hawking, Neil Degrasse Tyson, and Michio Kaku all agree it is THEORETICALLY possible. Hyper-spacing however is something that is not considered viable by our current scientific theorists. However just remember that 80 years ago people and scientists even thought going beyond the speed of sound was not possible, prior to that people and scientists stated manned flight was not possible, and 500 years ago people believed the Earth was flat (and some idiots still think that). Ask any theoretically scientist just how much we know about the universe around us and how it works and they will likely tell you we know less than 1/2 a percent.
