[ANNOUNCEMENT] Win an Nvidia Geforce Titan Black in our in-game Scavenger Hunt

Surprised no-one's made the obvious point that the contest is in partnership with Reynhardt Intellisys who are currently in a civil war in Leesti. Neither of the stations in the system have the cards and I don't think I've ever seen Reynhardt in any other system.

Perhaps it'd be worth using this thread to check off places we have investigated?

You all do realise that if anyone found one then they wouldn't be posting it on the forums until after it was cashed in and officiated. Anyone claiming to have found one is probably sending you on a wild goose chase.

should have made it "random chance to be found in USS". As it stands, whoever finds this will just tell their friends, and game over.

Checked all 3 founders names:
Jen-Hsun Huang
Chris Malachowsky
Curtis Priem

No systems except Huang which has 3. Thought It could be a chance but nothing in any. Huangais has 2 outposts that I didn't check (large ship) but otherwise theres nothing. I hope it is something Nvidia/Titan related since otherwise its random chance if you happen to stumble on them.

Im giving up unless I randomly find them. Good luck everyone.
One or two tips for anyone that does find:
Submitting to interdictions is good. It recharges your FSD real quick and its unlikely that enemies will break your shields before you're back in SC.
Buy 1T of every other cargo type. So if someone does scan you they can't search for low Tonnage items and it takes ages for them to see if you have it.

Edit: There is also no system called "Mystery System" which I was disappointed by.

No disrespect to the eventual winners but I would seriously doubt that anyone investing enough time to find this other than by pure luck would have friends to discus it with :D

i did the same thing! i also checked 2 outposts in san huang system, but nothing there.

So what, they go for anyone that tries to dock? or?

No everyone is just hanging around chatting, occasionally someone flies into the dock and spooks everyone. A commander managed to get himself blown up by the station somehow. It's all quite friendly.

It would be dumb if the system/station name is not nVidia related. I even did missions for Reinhardt Intellisys two days ago (to be allied with them), but no missions from them are present in BB either in George Lucas or Kolmogorov Hub pointing me to some system with GTX cards. As many said before, it looks like the contest is seeking a miniature needle in extremely large haystack...

Or whoever finds it might be interested in parceling out the information in exchange for several tonnes of palladium.

Well I've got about 20 minutes to go on this trip to Hutton. If I find them, I'll fill up my ASP (16 tonnes), sell one back to Godel Ring and jettison the rest of them right at the cattle-box entrance.

Well, I'm guessing most of the 5 will be turned in by pirates as it will be almost impossible for the person who has actually done all the hard work to find the damn things to get through the 'blockade' of ganking and winged up pirate scum. Unless one gets lucky with the instancing / matchmaking. Thankyou Frontier for a competition that gives nothing to those who are not interested in playing in open, out in the black exploring (with little likelihood of getting back for it), not yet geared up to even have a chance of surviving the hell that will now be Godel Ring or simply not interested in being cannon fodder to feed the murderous mindset of some of the PvP crowd. Needless to say, not interested in participating thankyou, even though I already play primarily in open.

On a positive note though, at least we'll know where a fair percentage of the gankers, murderers and pirates will be for a while. Also, if this is going to be the preferred method for 'encouraging' play in open, I'm all for it if it means we avoid some form of nerfing, unbalancing or forced separation approach between modes.
