[ANNOUNCEMENT] Win an Nvidia Geforce Titan Black in our in-game Scavenger Hunt

it's unclever to just sit and wait for maybe somewhen incoming commander, successfull in a titan black finding... why? Everyone will start to shoot at the poor guy, and his ship will blown of before others couldn't even start scan him... Pointless, just waiting outside... And even an idea further, if by any MIRACLE a titan gets 'dropped' somehow, what next?! it will just be impossible to grab it... Other funny thing is also:
a session is limited to 35 (?) max players... so you'll have full loaded sessions of 35 commanders each sitting there and waiting for a miracle, whilst the guy who's heading the station will ask himself if everybody is cloaked or what, as he will be alone ^^

FUN I tell you!

There are very many Maxwell stations. Just sayin'...

I typed Maxwell into the Galaxy Map, and the Alkaid system popped up. It's a very very interesting system with like 5 T-Tauri stars and a bunch of stations. The Maxwell City station looks promising as it is pretty far away from the jump point. Might go check that out after Hutton. Gotta go to work soon though :(

this gotta be rushed....

just went into an USS near the station... fell on a wanted pirate called Titan Kepler .... opened fire, and after a while, guess what did he dropped before jumping away and screaming for his life?!

"Starting at 5PM GMT today, you'll find Nvidia GeForce Titan Black Prototypes in stock at one mystery starport"

Emphasis on Starport. Nice try, No cigar.

Who's got too much time on their hands

Someone should twitch and stream the chaos outside Godel station until the Nvidia contest is over. I bet there will be some epic battles for those cards flying by. Not too mention all the pirates getting bored waiting starting to fight each other. Might be a good opportunity for a "most ships in a screenshot" moment as well.

Best in game promotion I have ever heard of. I hope I don't find a canister I would be scared to try and fly it back.

I know it's a Kepler as I have a Titan card in my PC already :)
Just try Kepler in a galaxy map search though...
Tried searching Kepler in the Galaxy Map, and it brought me to a system that is about 500ly away from civilization. Couldn't view the system map of it, but I doubt there are any stations there xD

Am I missing the point. Anyone with this in their hold is not going to give it to a pirate. They will just fight therirway in or die then go get another one and try again if fail.

Irrelevent if has black market.

I think that with only 1 station in the galaxy selling this item, it's going to be a while until those pirates see some results ;)

Well, I'm guessing most of the 5 will be turned in by pirates as it will be almost impossible for the person who has actually done all the hard work to find the damn things to get through the 'blockade' of ganking and winged up pirate scum. Unless one gets lucky with the instancing / matchmaking. Thankyou Frontier for a competition that gives nothing to those who are not interested in playing in open, out in the black exploring (with little likelihood of getting back for it), not yet geared up to even have a chance of surviving the hell that will now be Godel Ring or simply not interested in being cannon fodder to feed the murderous mindset of some of the PvP crowd. Needless to say, not interested in participating thankyou, even though I already play primarily in open.

On a positive note though, at least we'll know where a fair percentage of the gankers, murderers and pirates will be for a while. Also, if this is going to be the preferred method for 'encouraging' play in open, I'm all for it if it means we avoid some form of nerfing, unbalancing or forced separation approach between modes.

I wouldn't be so sure. I was hanging out there for about 30 minutes and most people aren't even concentrating, I don't think anyone even had a cargo scanner. Even small ships were managing to get into the station easily without even being threatened. We were passing time playing football with a cannister of biowaste. I didn't see anything close to ganking, cheating or murdering take place.
