There is some talk of having crews and multiple people per ship but not for a while and certainly not in the first release.

other than needing to wait for the ''walk around'' addon , you would also need so buy a bigger ship (as the sidewinder/cobra/eagle are one maned craft) which might represent a lot of proffit along the way. tho it would be fun to see howmany we could squeeze into a cobra's cockpit (sardines anyone? )

In Frontier Elite II, there were crews. 12 in the Panther Clipper, I think. But it was the NPC ...
