I suffer from Psoriatic Arthritis. It does affect game play a bit as I cannot twist my Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS stick and will need to get some pedals somehow soon so I can use Yaw properly. Other than that the only other problems is not being able to play for long periods.

Hi,

i have a bunch of disabilities too, thanks to Spinal Cord grown onto the Inside of the Spine (Tethered Cord Syndrome), also:

Colorblind (red-green and light-blue and light-yellow)
Limited Field of View
left eye nearly blind
Left Ear
limited fine movements of both hands and fingers
Spine not fully closed (spina bifida occulta)
and lots more :eek::(

Would be very nice if FD would finally put a colorblind mode into the Game, especially the Galaxy-Map highlighting Allegiance Sektors / Systems would be highly welcome, alternativly a "find nearest $Allegiance Station" would be nice.

Greetings from Germany

I have some sight problems but the game is pretty fine.
Since we got a good number of colorblind people a colorblind mode would be nice for them.

I'm colorblind, and I usually don't consider it a disability but it has some effect on gameplay when I have to tell if a ship is friendly or enemy by color on the radar (red or green, or yellow maybe?)

Would http://arkku.com/elite/hud_editor/ help maybe? You can mix your own colours for the HUD on here. With a bit of luck all the people with colour vision problems could make one that suits them.

Poll's closed, so can't vote, but yes, right foot amputated and CRPS in left foot, leaving me wheelchair bound. Doesn't affect play though

Actually, I have no idea, Evyl Minkey. I've never used a different coloured HUD personally, I just knew about the site and played with a few colours. I hope someone else can help. :)

Thanks for this but does it affect the in game targeting? So showing if someone is hostile or not. I thought this only affected the console and text colours.

It does affect the radar and a whole lot else. If you play with the editor you can see how much it affects. However, it's limited to how much you can customise because so much of the hud is tied together.

FD have said an official editor is on their list but not a high priority.

Everyone has at least one disability. I wear glasses and have a dodgy knee. My glasses/vision means that focusing on small things(details or writing) is difficult regardless of having the best glasses I can get. I also have an intolerance to wheat, and snore.

People generally just don't consider these to be disabilities but in reality they are.

I'm dyslexic, hence the occasional tipping erroor in my posts. The standard orange HUD played merry hell with my ability to read small text. I'm glad we can change the config file, but FD really should implement custom HUD colours in-game.

chronic back pain, and from what i can gather, the world's worst case of tinitus (sounds like someone's spraying aerosol cans into my ears, 24/7 - very loud, never stops)

it affects my game the same way it would for anyone else if someone randomly jabbed a pencil into their back every 20 seconds or so, while several leaking gas bottles hissed all around them.

i tend to swear a lot.

Ugh, I hate tinnitus. Especially when being at loud bars with friends. After bars it goes super wild. But I really love when its raining heavy, because I can't hear it then.
