Community Event / Creation Lavecon 2015

In its third year, Lavecon is a growing event celebrating all aspects of Science Fiction and Fantasy with Elite: Dangerous at its centre. This annual event is a chance to meet up with fans, gamers, writers, developers and anyone else interested in Science fiction and Fantasy.

The venue is the Sedgebook Hall Hotel, Northamptonshire, NN6 8BD

The event will be held on the 11-12th of July.

Time to relax after a long day gaming? There is a swimming pool, mini-gym, sauna and Jacuzzi, use of which is free for those staying in the hotel. Treatments (massages etc.) can be added on for extra cost, but need to be booked in advance.

We hope you can join for Board Gaming, LRP, Cosplay, LAN, tabletop roleplay, workshops (writing, make up, props), Special Guests and of course Elite Dangerous!

As mentioned on the last Lave Radio episode (47) we will be running an exclusive play test of the board game 'Away Team'. Its a humorous science fiction experience for 3-6 players written by me. You explore abandoned spacecraft and starbases looking to find out what happened to the crew.

Heya Snos, Allen says that things will be sorted, further I believe Psykokow is looking at loops to help people with hearing difficulties.

In this Live Action game players take on the role of traders, inventors and corporate pioneers attempting to secure the latest round of contracts from the Corporation. Backstabbing and treachery “abound as the ruthless corporates ply their trade, but the corporate whirl conceals a secret that could shake the foundations of society forever.

Oh, I'm awesomely tempted! Just need to work the funds out as I'll be at the British Grand Prix the weekend before :) - Looking at the booking page, where the gold and Platinum have single and double occupancy, does the double mean 2 tickets?... (so I can top and tail with a mate?...)...

Answer from Karen -

A gold or platinum double occupancy is a ticket for two people sharing a room. This will be assumed to be a twin room unless you contact us (via info@laveradio.com) to request a double room.
