Is there a Ships(for purchase) location tool?

I have searched a few keywords and nothing came up so I am sorry if this has already been discussed...

I need a Vulture and obviously with the tiny fuel tank the closer to my current location the better... Is there anywhere to search ship locations?

Thanks

There is not unfortunately. Hi Tech systems usually have the Vulture in stock though. Whats your current location?

17 LYRAE

I have tried some local high tech stations in the area... I have just thought of another problem though, will need a really good high tech to outfit it well, maybe I will head over to where I know that is and just have to cope with the 200+ LY trip back in the Vulture... just being lazy at the end of the day :)

Try industrial systems, also look for Hi tech and Industrial with high populations, with millions or billions, higher the better.

I have had a better idea(I think)... I actually already have a Vulture which is over 200ly away and I didn't want to leave my Asp over there as I want both ships close to hand, I was going to shoot over in the Asp, sell the Vulture and then buy one closer to home... but I figure the best idea is to buy a Cobra or something cheapish, upgrade the FSD, go to the Vulture location and sell the Cobra... then I just have a one way slog in the Vulture and I can have it stored in my home Starport... winner!
With half a brain i'd be dangerous!

@ TShriker : a stripped down Sidewinder with 2A FSD will only cost you 180k and a 19LY jump capability. A Cobra with 4B FSD and same (19LY) jump range will cost you 900k. So better get the Sidey so you'll lose less money when you sell it.

Of course a Cobra with a 4A FSD will jump 23 LY but will cost 2 mil. For this kind of shopping trips, I get a sidey and job done with very little money (and a very small insurance handicap if things go bad)

Great tip, thanks!

I was thinking Sidewinder max jump was much less, that is the way I will go then... It will be so weird to be back in a Sidewinder again though, actually looking forward to it!

The only thing i'd add to the sidewinder for this journey is a fuel scoop... I didn't think about it till it was too late as I had put a Titan black in my cargo hold for a little extra bonus at the other end. my next mistake was to plot the fastest route, I only made a couple of jumps before I had to refuel and then stupidly carried on and very nearly got stranded! So I had to take a couple of steps back, refuel again and replot the most economical route and did a little plane of where I had to refuel... All in all made for a very slow and frustrating 200LY journey!
So compared to this the journey back in the Vulture was quite pleasurable... I did a 5-10 second fuel scoop at pretty much every jump and made it all the way without having to stop... even had time for a quick bit of combat before the matchsticks holding my eyelids open snapped :)

Hauler cab!

Buy a Hauler and fit an A rated FSD, strip it of everything else and put a class 3 scoop in. If you replace the essentials with D rated you'll jump over 30ly.
