Help for Sector LP 98-132

Sons and daughters of the void, I humbly request your assistance. LP 98-132 is a poor, independent sector, overrun by anarchy and piracy. Many people risk their lives daily to mine what meager resources they can find to attempt to bring food on the table for their families.

Helping this small, yet perilous sector will give the people hope, even make them feel [safe]. What LP 98-132 needs is resources, and lots of it, be it through bounty hunters acting as police due to the lack of a standing force to protect its citizens or even shipments of food and other supplies.

LP 98-132's stations are in rough condition as well, decaying badly. Let us take back this sector from the pirates, and help the people in need, not for fame, not for glory, but for goodwill.

If you plan to help, please take all missions from the Styx Progressive, while the Eranin Peoples Party is also a major force in this sector, they currently represent no threat to the Styx Progressive. The Partnership of LHS 2819 and the Brotherhood of LP 98-132 must be brought to justice.

Currently, the objectives are this;

1. Remove the Partnership of LHS 2819 from power of the sector. By doing so, LP 98-312 can start rebuilding to its former glory.
2. Remove the so-called Brotherhood of LP 98-132. They're nothing more than common criminals.
3. Establish secure trading routes for LP 98-132 to help its people. Hopefully this will be worked on as these lowly "pirates" are crushed into space dust.

From there, we can plan our next move.

Update;

Attention all Styx Progressive commanders:

We have started the purging of all non-Styx craft as of 1900 East US on 4/6.
From the last few days of assaults on Partnership, Eranan and Brotherhood ships has yielded a marked increase in Styx Presence.
We shant falter, for the people of LP 98-132, and for the peace of the civilians who live here. We must continue fighting.

We are their guiding hope. We are their protectors. We are their saviors.

How you can help: Trade goods with Styx Progressive and kill any non-Styx craft.
Players who are found to be against the Styx Progressive shall be warned to leave the sector.
Firing upon these players is on a self-defense basis only.

Update 2;

As of 4/8, the Federation is in control of Freeport!
Good job, everyone involved!

Ah, Freeport. Running the gauntlet of crazed pirates and lunatics in anacondas made of rail guns, by the dim light of LP 98-132. Brings back some memories.

Love to help you op, but when I'm back in "civilised" space I've got to try and prop up the Alliance first. If that situation can be stabilised, then maybe.

Be warned though, Freeport means something to some of the more lawless types around. Expect to face some push-back.

NO!

Anarchies are disappearing across the galaxy! We need to preserve natural enviroment of criminals, let them breed! Hunting is an ancient Imperial tradition and it is our duty to help those endangered species, what will we hunt when they are gone?

Keep the natural balance! Protect anarchies from oppresive goverments!

Ah yes, a fun place to be. Smash some ships against the rocks, scoop "their" cargo and sell it at the local station. Piracy and bounty hunting, a wonderful combination. Can't say I sympathise with stabilising the system, given how much profit it makes me.

Last week, I went back to the old beta-bubble, and parked my ships in Freeport for the time beeing.
The place is a far cry from what it used to be...hardly any cmdr passes through.
When I exit SC near the star, and hover silently in space, memories of long gone epic beta battles come back.
In particular the total chaos that was called "Betapocalypse", a free-for-all fight to the death near the nav beacon, in preparation for the upcoming game-save reset that marked the transition from beta to gamma.

The nearby systems of Eranin, I Bootis, Aulin etc do get some human traffic, but they're usually harmless traders.

The federatio and the alliance, of course.

LP 98-312 and the surrounding areas really need help. these stations are on their last legs. I'll be personally policing the area when I can.

They're pirates not Elephants - Kill them all :D (The pirates that is)

I might come there as a bounty hunter just to have some fun what is your in game name OP?Lets fight piracy together!!!

I updated the OP; I would really like if anyone capable of helping can. Let us restore peace to this sundered sector as well as the sectors surrounding it.

I have already destroyed several Partnership and Brotherhood system authority vessels. Much to my disappointment, their influence on the sector has not diminished, despite the Brotherhood having literally zero influence. Of course, due to my constant attacks on brotherhood and partnership craft, I am now kill on sight.

To have a place called home. To have that place be safe. That's what the people of LP 98-132 need. I'll do my damnedest to make sure that becomes a reality.

Sorry... but I'm currently waging war on the Kremiann Blue Brotherhood. Making progress, they've put me on a kill list for slaughtering so many of their ilk in RES.

Good luck with your crusade! o7

I won't mind helping you out. It'll take me a little bit though.

This sounds like a cause! I'm a reclusive solo player atm, but I'll fly over and do my part.

It is rightful retribution for the lives destroyed by the pirate factions that "govern" this once peaceful place. Eranan Peoples' Republic has been found guilty of helping the Brotherhood and the Partnership.

We're not fighting for power or wealth, or even fame. We're fighting to make LP 98-312 and its surrounding sectors safer.

Removing the Partnership and the Brotherhood from the sector as the primary ruling force is just the first step. The second step is to take the fight to the Partnerships' home sector and show them "You reap what you sow."

I reported to the Freeport Styx representative and told him of the small fighter I came in on. He sent me on a series of missions:

1.) Deliver 3 Reactive Armour sets. This was easily done at my own expense. The faction began viewing me as friendly and trustworthy for their future dispatches.

2.) Deliver a series of uncut gemstones to secure a line of credit in a foreign system. Naturally, all great coups must be funded. I took on this duty with pride. The gemstones were delivered in mere minutes.

3.) Purchase 6 crates of wine for a celebration. I... wait, what? I guess... morale is important. I'm not sure why a heavily armed warship is suitable for a beer run, but the job was done.

4.) I didn't get a request for another mission. I think they're sleeping it off. I'll check in with them tomorrow.
