Aw, pity. But I don't blame you. Have a +1 for at least trying!
I'm done
Sorry, but you're the one who doesn't seem to have a clue about what you're talking about. Not my fault you talked yourself into a corner. Thanks for the hand waving anyway.
gravity...workon long ranges without being shielded like electromagnetism...
Electrostatic forces tend to get shielded by opposite charges. Since you're trying to explain how things are held together more tightly than usual you have to have reasonably balanced charges or stuff would fly apart
Just your regular relativistic rocket then, that Blakes 7 method.Nice but not exactly faster than light.
A rather more promising angle was raised in the early 70s and featured in the Sifi series, Blakes 7.
Time distortion.
Essentially, you enclose your vehicle in an envelope where time passes more slowly. Because the relative time, outside the envelope, passes much faster, it is possible for the vehicle to travel extremely long distances in short period in real time.
It takes a bit to get your head around it. Firstly, it seem very convoluted, then it seems illogical. But if you stick with the logic, eventually, it becomes rather clever and obvious.
Just your regular relativistic rocket then, that Blakes 7 method.![]()
Oh yeah, there's that too.Though note, the Blakes 7 ship travelled on the left hand side of the cosmos.
