Well from where I sit , the 6th does not end for another 13.5 hrs...
Well it's still open for now. No one knows, but a reasonable guess might be 5pm GMT.
Trying to be the last person to back is not recommended
Given that we're now SOOOO close to 40,000 backers and can probably achieve that today maybe they'll let it run until that number is cracked - I hope so - it means nothing, but would feel nice.

Given that in the UK the 'standard' business day is usually regarded as being from 9am to 5pm it's a reasonable guess. But Wulf might be correct and they could shut it down in when someone comes in for work or at any time during the day. Perhaps they might let it run until 6pm or even midnight, but there is no guarantee of any specific time.
They said "afternoon", so it will be probably 2 - 3 PM UK time (UTC+1).

Tantalizing, but reasonable. The recent surge of late backers has pushed the finances and player base along nicely so why stifle a good trend.
Besides, right now it's still only 3:00pm on the 6th in Honolulu and they never said closedown would be the 6th GMT

I have a feeling a lot of people outside the UK who have been biding their time have just started pledging. It's been interesting to track the progress of threads on the Star Citizen forums over the last few months. Originally there were a lot of haters, and there are still a few rabid ones, but over time most people have looked into ED in more detail. Now most posts are positive and express support for both games, which is great to see.
I also noticed the many detractors on the SC site.
For many its just disinterest or indifference. But there are a few who will go out of their way to deride ED or what it offers. Its like an irrational fear of what ED represents in their mind, or what it means for the success of SC. Many will not openly admit that ED offers quite alot. In fact many will blatantly lie about ED in an attempt to lessen its momentum on SC.
But I also see the tides turning (one can say the recent surge can be partly attributed to recent SC converts lol). We should all embrace new games, especially when they are of our beloved genre. I hope we can learn from the unreasonable rabid fanboyism that is now the SC site. And be more welcoming and embracing of any future project that might come our way during the development of ED.
I would hate for our community to do the same one day when say a Freespace 3 kickstarter begins in the near future. (one can only hope)

)yup £105=210+ others so it is costly hahaha but yes it will be worth itToday I bit the bullet and upped my pledge from £20 not only to £80 but to £90 and added another £15 for international delivery. That is £105 and the most expensive game I ever bought.

These people who are not even willing to consider that something other than their own platform or software of choice has something to offer anyone else, and has to be absolutely shot down at all costs - well, they are pathetic creatures with feeble minds and small wallets.
