Newcomer / Intro Issues with loosing all cargo

After I spent one week exploring and finally was on my way back I managed to destroy my ship by getting too close to Betelgause and controls got stuck and I couldnt away from it. So... I am bit sad of the whole exploring thing.

So I started to do Trading instead but that one is a bummer as well, because when I reach a place where I can find the stuff I need for the quest and I am jumping back, I have an issue.

When I exit Hyperspace this always happen close to a star, and then what happens is that I get heat warnings and my cargo hold malfunctions and I keep loosing all my cargo. This happend 3 times for me the last hour.

What to do?

Hit the 0% throttle button (bind it to a handy key) at any time from when the jump countdown begins. When you arrive, you will be going slowly and not take any heat damage.
It is heat damage to your cargo hatch that is causing this.

You will come out of supercruise next to a star at maximum throttle.

Put throttle to zero or veer away from the star are normally good ideas.

This is the answer, when you reduce the throttle in this period apparently nothing happens but when you drop out of hyperspace the throttle will be zero stopping you sun diving.

Not really, swapping the power plant would help a lot more directly, here; it makes a T6 or similar foolproof (though takes some of the character away :D). Waiting until heat is at 50% or below before engaging the Friendship Drive and not flying into the sun are obviously helpful, too.

(That said, I always prefer an A-rated FSD anyway- buy the ship, grab a C-grade FSD and then use it to earn the A-rate FSD.)
