It's not a fine, it's a bounty. Also not confined to clipping a cop - clipping any non-enemy NPC has the same effect.

And it's a lot easier to make a mistake when you're colour-blind, which applies to many of us.

Well as I've said since then ;) clipping anyone shouldn't have any effect, especially if the have shields up, as the changes Sarah Jane put in were to stop that. If it's not doing it properly then make a bug report.

My aim is fine
I am watching where i'm shooting.
If an Security Eagle suddenly boosts into my line of fire, there's not much i can do about it.

So i can either watch the scanners 100% of the time, which is a fun game design....
or watch where i'm shooting and pray the stupid AI doesnt feel suicidal but doesnt help me with this change.

you can believe what you want but there is a poor design elemnet here that if fixed will result in an enjoyable game for more people
i'm not sure why you would not want that to happen

I'm really not getting into this argument again, 6 months of it were enough for me :D Funny how some people have no trouble with it though ;)

Or maybe you should just learn to tame your trigger finger?

Or maybe fix the AI

I already stop shooting if there are friendlies near my target.

But that still doesnt stop a friendly close to me suddenly boosting into my LoF

Or should i just stop shooting altogether while there are friendlies around. Great Game

Would also be interested to know why the 'Conda paint is MIA ATM.

(plus as mentioned earlier, can we still expect to see the 'tactical' paints in the near future?)

So see that there actually isn't any new paint jobs, I'm at Shinrarta and it says no paint schemes available. . . . can someone elaborate please. . . .

Hi everyone,

The galaxy servers will be down for 30 minutes from 11.30 am BST to allow us to update to Elite: Dangerous 1.2.07.

See the full list of changes below:

- Added vibrant paint jobs for all ships except Anaconda (available for purchase from the store soon)
- Crash fix for star system generation
- Fix for crash in TrackIR caused by the disconnect function incorrectly handling the case when the TrackIR is in an error state. Also applied the same fix to FreeTrack
- Adjusted terraforming meta data to prevent server error
- When getting close to a capital ship while neutral, it will warn you at ~1KM away and then turn hostile at a few hundred metres
- Treat capital ships like players for assigning kills
- Don’t allow NPCs to kill steal by them hitting the powerplant
- Prevent docking after the police 'notice' that a player is wanted. This is the same reaction with committing a violent crime near the station.
- Network fix to catch some messages delivery bugs
- Fix a case where a ship with damage regions and no shields could try to save a game before its defense data has been initialised, resulting in showing in the GUI as a ship that's unrepairable at 0% health
- Adfjusted Type 7 and Viper collision mesh to make them a bit harder to get stuck in the starport entrance cage
- Various text fixes

Server-side Changes:

- Decriminalise Limpets
- When changing station ownership after a conflict, always treat system controlling stations as more valuable than anything else
- Fix Commander Stats for selling level 2 and level 3 survey scans
- Various performance and reliability improvements

Thanks everyone.

Ed

Wow, lots of nice changes for such a small patch!

Neutral Capital ships preventing you from approaching them is great and will likely increase the immersion of the game. I always wondered why I was allowed to fly through a federal battle cruiser in my imperial clipper while being only neutral with the federation. Shouldn't they be more wary of me coming so close? Very good change, IMO.

I like that you make the "wanted" status have more consequences (prevents docking when scanned), too! Finally being "wanted" will feel the way it should, not just like a primer to pay of some debt.

Additional skins for many ships is also great, looking forward to them!

All in all, I think this is a very decent minor update! Keep up the great work!

And yet a lot of people do.

Its not a constant issue for me, it happens now and again
But the fact is it should not be happening at all

We'll leave it at that, but the current system is not ideal for the game and better ones can be implemented, which is all i want

I assume that this is to try to prevent afk farming of combat bonds by parking on/next to a friendly cap ship and letting them do all the work while you plink away with turrets...

However, as it only affects ships that have not declared an allegiance to one faction or another, there's nothing to stop people simply allying themselves to the cap ship on arrival (as I assume they would have done anyway) and then parking up as normal, I can't see that it's going to make any difference at all.

Am I missing something?

I was wondering if there are any plans to release 'in game' paint jobs? It would be great even to have a small selection of 'standard' colours.

Perhaps even have a few that are handed out with mission completions when you gain Allied status with Major and System Factions.

Awesome features! Thanks alot!

A wish for a future update though remeins, please let us remove/ abandon, tasks/ bounties from our panel!

I don't want to go to a system 200 LYs away just to collect a single 10k bounty, that i collected on the fly or that mini-reward from a community goal, that I decided to join for trying it out, or ....

Ehrrr... I played ED early this morning, got back home for a relax session, hit update and it says 5h to update? seriously? will a small patch keep me out of the game for 5 hours????? Incredible!

Did u figure out if the other paintjobs are free ingame or not? Would be Nice to know if we need to pay for all of them or just the Anaconda one coming later.
Well, the notes say available on the store soon, so logically, this means you'll have to buy them like the other available liveries.

Michael no offense, but this is stupid.....small fines are small fines...how are we supposed to pay them, and how are large ships supposed to pay in outposts?

If I remember correctly a level 1 is the ping, level 2 is a normal scan of the surface and level 3 is a detailed scan of the surface.

Michael

Hate to correct you but my stats are showing as:

I have ~4000 Level 2 and ~16 Level 3. I have done very little exploration without a detailed surface scanner.

I get the feeling that the numbers are the wrong way around.

Plus, I just scanned a star and gas giant and the numbers did not update. Are only solid planets/moons included in the numbers or is this a bug?

Level 2 and 3 scans? How do we accomplish this, when we cannot buy a level 2 or 3 discovery or surface scanner .... Will the assassination total ever be fixed as I've earned credits on this category yet 0 assassinations ..... Sort it out!
