Star types that allow refuelling?

If it's yellow, ummm, you won't go to hell-o.
If it's red, and you fly like you're drunk, you'll be dead.
If it's orange, nothing rhymes with orange.
If it's silver, nothing rhymes with silver, either, but you're gonna die.
If it's purple, well, maybe something rhymes with purple, but it ain't helpful, and you're not getting fuel.

That's the basics. Warm colours means hydrogen, cool colours means not so much hydrogen.

Main sequence only.
Not really anything to do with the main sequence. It's largely based on spectral type (temperature) excluding degenerate stars and proto-stars. Giants and supergiants still fall withing the scoopable spectral types, but are not on the main sequence.

I beg to differ. These drives supposedly run on hydrogen fuel (from Frontier and FFE). Main sequence stars (OBAFGKM) during their main sequence phase contain vast amounts of hydrogen which other star types do not. The fact that super and hypergiants are scoopable is a technicality in this game based strictly on their spectral type. That should really should be considered an exception to the rule also because they aren't very common.
