Woah, according to my observations, total pledged jumped 100,000 quid in just the last 3 days...Can someone confirm? Exciting if true...I swear it was 2,049,000 odd 3 days ago...Now it says around 2,147,962 quid...

No doubt a surge in people upping pledge due to backers app closure and possibly people wanting alpha access along with normal flow of new backers...

They'd have had a lot more if they'd sorted out teh microtransactions business before the store closed.

During the last days of being able to be an original backer, and more recently Life Time Insurance (LTI) Star Citizen pulled in a huge haul. I know I have been very busy over there pulling in all my guild buddies for the 80-90 quid packages. :) I don't think I was alone..

I think once more people see Youtube videos and screenshots all over the place more people will catch on to this wonderful project upping the userbase considerably, among other things.

Seriously, I still have no clue what I backed for. I hope I get the game (it says game download, does that include the key?). For example I couldn't understand why that start with a ship and 500 credits is more expensive than the start with 2000 credits and a ship. Having elaborated a little on that would have helped, too.. but I pledged anyway, so I guess it's ok.

@Flavio - It says this by the 1 pound pledge :

"Ranking:Harmless RANDOM SHORT STORY - Thanks for your support Commander, we appreciate it. We will send you a random short story from our Elite:Tales From The Frontier anthology."

Book of 25 short stories? Eh? doesn't it say "a random short.."

Yes I believe you get the game. The difference is that your package has a different ship then the other one. You probably have the cargo ship while the other is the bounty hunter ship.

You pledged for the game in digital download format :) That ship with 500 credits is more expensive because it isn't starter ship, and you can choose starting position there. With simple copy of the game you start as everybody else - with Sidewinder, which is capable ship.
