hello all, i just want to know if there is any knews about the changing of elite dangerous model business to a real cash economy system, where ingame currencies can be converted to real cash money and vice versa.

I think you'll have a better chance of getting rich by playing the lottery rather than waiting for that to happen.

im not looking to get rich, i was looking for a game to have a dedication and ocupation with a bit of financial help for real life for as little as should be. something that just give me some more conditions to spend those enormous ammount of time and dedication games ask nowdays.

I don't think that there's any fun you can have in this game without a Cobra and it doesn't take that much time to get one of those.

This particular fun seems based on making a business of game/real cash, not any kind of piloting thrills.

I can only imagine the number of bots that would crop up if the OP's vision for this game became reality.

Games are things we play for fun. If the amount of fun you get out of playing this game is insufficient reward for the time put into it, then it's a bad fit for you. Find something else to play, that does give you that reward.

Wow, some really potent Onionhead in your part of the galaxy, it seems!

Right, so, as a community service, here's a heads up - for those that aren't quite sure how life works.

For money making, generally, you find a job, and you go to work, performing a task for which you are then compensated with money.

Computer games (like all games - note the words "games", not "work") are what you play for fun. You generally buy said games with the money you earn from the aforementioned work thing. The idea of the game, is that you do, actually, sink many hours into it, and thus, the amount of money you invested in said game gets spread out over many hours of gameplay, which means it was good value.

Just thought I'd mention this because, well, OP seems confused.

Z...

IntX dont tell me this game alows people to play with bots, that should be some kind of violation imo. i hope to do this in the legal way, i will farm my own wealth with my hands.

DrakeAurum, yes i play for fun also and that ammount of fun pays off if i play in my gameboy or psp in the metro or in the coffe with my friends. that ammount of fun pays off the time i invest in it, yes. but so we can have a new vision here, even those games dont pay out the money i spend in it, they pay out the fun, but they dont pay out the money and still they ask for it. talking about games from gameboy and psp. now massively multiplayers games... i think i dont even know what those are. please someone explain me so we continue our arguing with some notions of what we are talking about.

if this happens it would be the death of the game, please FD don't do it, keep this game.....a game!...not a money making machine for geeks to cheat and get a few quid off, get a real job!

Zeeman, i know, i already have a work. care to comment on games that are actualy working on real cash economy system already?

astrocreep i disagree, i think changing to real cash economy system will improve both financial and populational subjects. will benefit all, with more benefits.

So you want people to be able to pay real money for in-game credits so that you can grind away in game and have some of that money paid back to you when you decide to cash it in? Diablo III tried that with items. Look how well it worked out for them and how quickly it was abandoned.

All games can be played with bots. I can write a program that will simulate any sequence of key strokes and controller inputs I want. The only question is whether it is realistically possible to write a bot that can both be effective and evade detection if the server is actively looking for bot-like behaviour.

I'm going to give my analogy of the thought process that makes this seem logical in any way.
