Canopy Comprimised, No visiable cracks, time to head home?

So I just got the canopy compromised warning in my Anaconda, at 19,000ly out from inhabited space.

There is no visible damage, power plant is at 89%, I repaired my life support from 86% back to 100%

Should I head home? How likely is my canopy likely to breach if I get too close to something again?

The notification plays when you take any damage (even .1%) to your canopy, if there are no cracks, you should be fine.

I chickened out at 18Kly out with a cracked canopy ... then later was told that it goes 1.Canopy compromised 2. Canopy at 50% 3. Canopy critical 4. Canopy failure run like a very fast thing to somewhere with an outpost/station.

So I reckon you should stay out longer - I regret coming back early: I even had several emergency stops and overheating events due to careless refuelling (watching tv) and my canopy didn't deteriorate any further.
