How did you feel?

I just got my first python, and I cant describe how cool it was when I got back to my home station. I bought it from the founders world to save a little money, so I had a journey to make. When i got back, I was on the dark side of the planet. I switched to the outside camera and checked out my ship with the lights on. These ships look so amazing, especially after all the work it took to get it. I cant applaud FD enough on the work they've done on the models and graphics. Though too, I thought "This ship would look cooler if it had a Merc skin," but perhaps thats just wishful thinking. So how do you guys feel when you buy that next ship, (especially when its one of the big ones)?

That factory fresh smell is great! Then you think "how the bleep will I upgrade this on my budget?".....and then the fun starts as you dream up get rich quick schemes.

Right now I have fitted beam turrets to my Python and I feel like a king in anarchy nav points- no escape for small ships!

Sat, that sounds interesting, i've never tried turrets, i heard they're kinda hard to make work properly. what kind did you fit on your python and is there anything special that one should be aware of ?

I have to admit that this love for big ship that cost a lot to buy (and at the time, a lot to operate) is completely ridiculous.

Ri-di-cu-lous.

Ha! Just pulling your legs here. The best feeling in the world.

When I bought my python, I did a screenshot of her (british ships are "her" right?) in the "livery" mode in the outfitting section.

Before going to sleep, I took my phone, opened the gallery and watched her.

And I thought : "That's MY ship. F... yeah."

The next day I thought it was all dream I had. Until I opened the gallery and 'lo and behold, she was there !

And I thought : "That's MY ship. F... yeah."

No other ships provided me this amount of pride before. :)

I don't know if I will ever feel the same if I jump to the Anaconda or the Corvette (if she's not ridonckulously expensives), but Python will always be my first :')

Two things in this game that nothing can prepare you for:

1) Last jump into Sagittarius A*
2) Sudden realisation that the gargantuan thing behind you is your own Python

Yeah. It's bloody awesome.

I got my Python a couple of weeks before they nerfed it. It is still very good, but before the nerf it defied the laws of physics when turning and had shields made of unobtainium or summink, so it does feel a little boaty now.
It still is a proper grown-up hardened merchantman that can pack a wallop but a little more vulnerable to FDLs and competent wings. Still an amazing machine. But be ready to spend a lot of money to get it fitted with decent stuff.

My first experiences in my new Python went like this:

*returns from looong exploration, 80 million credits payout, spends all of it on a new Python*
"I feel like I'm in a tank, cool! Oh here's an Anaconda assasination mission, lets try it!"
*finds Elite Pirate in USS*
"Prepare for frontal assault, yeah!"
*few huge plasma shots later*
"Ouch, where's my shields, get away!!"
*...cabin pressure alert...*
"Charge already dammit!"
*incoming missile*
"no no no no noooooo"
*3..2..1..engage!*
"Phew..."

I did return after repairs with a more careful approach and has taken his bounty :)

Loved my python when i got it a few weeks ago. Feels like you have arrived... Now she is parked up and im in my asp and exploring and love that just as much...

I felt and still do feel that with my Asp...I just love it....

Python has very slowly grow in me...I like it a little bit more than before....just not so sure that much more as to change...

Also, wanna check out Diamondback size, price and specs...before I make any decisions....

Love it too. This was my "must have" ship since I saw the pic/info on the wiki, even before I bought the game.
Bought the game Jan 1, (I think), got the python a week or 2 ago, still love it.
Dumped the t7, and to parrot others, trading/not having to worry about missions at outposts again is fantastic.
But the 9Mc capacitor, "ouch", said my virtual wallet.
