Yup. We can restore Mars' magnetosphere and terraform it but we can't develop tractor beam technology. lolololol

Who said anything about restoring the magnetosphere?

or single manned space ships capable of faster than light travel via hyper jumps and super cruises....yet we can't:
1. develop a proper 'flight management computer' (your standard 2015 airliner has an FMC) that handles autopilot and autothrottle + fuel predictions; or
2. develop an in-game commodity search function (no, you have to use an external website(s) for this)
just saying.....
well it would not really be terraformable without a magnetic shield to prevent the sun from stripping away the atmosphere and returning it to dust
We already have multiple theories on possible ways to terraform planets, but we don't have much on tractor beams yet. So it makes sense that terraforming comes first.
Who said anything about restoring the magnetosphere?
Would need to in order to successfully terraform Mars and have it retain it's atmosphere...........
...
........
So on the way to developing FTL hyperdrives you don't think we would discover tractor beam tech?
Stay in school, kids. lol

FE2 and FFE I think have Mars as a sustained terraformed world.
it's a shame there's no hint of the old domed cities on non outdoor planets you had in FE2. is nthere any hint they exist still? I can't imagine people with large populations all crammed on a single coriolis.
Would be cool to see some city lights on the dark side of some of those though. Maybe in intense dots scattered around some areas.I understand all that sort of thing to be more or less implied until the planetary landings (and all associated planet detail generation) is implemented.
