I'm not an early beta bakker, currently playing on my windows machine.
Is it possible to get OSX beta access?
Available Hardware:
From MacMini i5 8GB AMD HD6630M to MacPro i7 16GB GTX980 OSX10.10.2 /10.10.2

Wainting for a linux version , but support osx beta is a first step away from windows :)

I'd be interested in taking part in a Steam beta, whenever that's an option. I'm a developer/consultant, and I'd be happy to provide detailed bug reports.

The Mac beta won't run on my 2010 iMac, but is working well on my 2013 rMBP, albeit have dropped to to 1050 resolution now.

One dumb question though - how is everyone detecting the frame rate during the game? I can't see an obvious read-out but would like to be able to benchmark my Mac at various different settings.

I'm also realising that I'm nowhere near as good at these games as I was when the original Elite came out.....

Hi folks

My first post here - I was a private beta backer but my PC went kaput, so I've had to wait to play it on my MacBook. And it's working surprisingly nicely, although after the last update from 1.00 to 2.00 I had to turn the graphics down for it to work.

My question is - are there plans to include the extra starting options in this beta - for example, in my 'first round private beta' tab in the frontier store, it states that we should get an option to start as a federal trader, a pirate etc, all with unique monies, ships and locations. Did this happen in the other beta, and so what is the current status with it so far...?

Apologies if this has all been discussed elsewhere - I couldn't find a specific thread for it.

I think it's going well so far. Some good issues have been found and fixed. We still have some to fix and we have the combined Mac and PC test to come.

well, would it be sticking to the approximately 6 weeks of beta? (Just hope its out during summer break. this game might help me forget that i live in hellfire (Southern California)

Me too , as I aready own a released WIN version.
Why have to have paid for beta access to test a OSX versionof a released game ?
I'll like to take part testing and give feedback, no problem.

But anyway thanks for all of your work on this great program!
