Newcomer / Intro Jump range - Galactic map

Your current jump range is indicated on the right pannel with the max between "( )".

In fast route mode on the gal map it will use your maximum range assuming your fuel tank is full(for ploting course), which is lower than the max range i mentioned above. As you consume fuel, you loose mass, hence gain more range, as long as it is above the maximum amount of fuel your FSD can take per jump.
The number between parenthesis is the jump range you have when you have exactly that amount of fuel.
To make the longuest posible jump you have to make sure you get close to that limit by not having too much fuel, select one of the furthest system as a destination within that range (dont use "plot course", but set as a destination). then you can jump to it. Useful when you get to very low density area. Otherwise dont bother yourself with that.

That's for one jump. Any full line is how far you can go without refueling in n jumps. In economic route mode, you'll see it go further.

if you select a system to navigat to, the orange line will become dashed at the system where the next jump will exceed your fuel capacity. so you should check if that last system has a station to refuel or - if you have a fuel scoop with you - you end up in a system with one of the following start types: O, B, A, F, G, K, M

In any other case, you should reroute your path or you mights strand in that system... what can you do if you do so btw? suicide?

At the moment it is the only way yes, or ask someone to do it for you ^^.

In 1.3 though, more options will be available, as you should be able to send fuel to someone else. Obviously dont count too much on that one if you're thousands of LY away.

That's actually the answer I wanted, thanks. I tried turning off the trade route spider thingy but it still did not help with fuel distance.
