What elements is your Elite character made of?

I have this hanging on my wall as a poster. Great little reference for many of the most common storytelling tropes

http://www.designthroughstorytelling.net/periodic/

But what's interesting here are the "Heroes" and "Character Modifiers" sections, and it got me thinking - how do you think of yourself while playing Elite: Dangerous?

Anyone who's read my fiction here (Mossfoot's Continuing Tales of Woe - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=103457 ) I'd say my character composition is Ir-Jhg-St (Intrepid Reporter - Jerk with a Heart of Gold - Storyteller)

So what elements is your pilot made up of? And do any of the other elements apply (ie do you have a meta-plot in your mind that applies, like the Call to Adventure or Hero's Journey? Do you have an online nemesis that fits one of the Villain categories?)

Yes. I have the bare bones of a plot. I am from Earth, I even served in the Fed military but not as a pilot. I retired at my real life age of 47, still very young by 34th century standards when I was told I'd been left a Sidewinder in my long lost grandmothers will who went out to explore the Galaxy with the digitised ghost of her husband in her Asp Explorers computer core (my grandparents were inseparable).

Their plan was to earn enough money from exploring to come home and buy him a new cloned body but they never returned. I have dreams of leaving the Federation and joining the Alliance but also to maybe find my grandparents who I dream are still out there somewhere, maybe marooned on a remote earth like planet living with the locals.

I joined the academy, learned to fly and took a passenger liner out to Trevithick Dock in that annoying system where my Sidewinder was waiting for me. That was a while ago now and I have an Asp of my own. I am still building up to my great adventure to try to find Nan and Grandad.

So what elements on the periodic table do you think apply to you (the point of the thread ;) ). You can click on any you don't know the meaning of and they'll take you to a page with an explanation.

It's actually quite fascinating when you get into it (as a writer and an editor, I really love browsing this from time to time).

a virgin really, discovering life as I discover the game myself.
Love your tale by the way, was hoping you would not drop it for the video competition but I seem to be wrong...

This troper appreciates this thread, but you failed to include the "TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life" disclaimer. People have to be warned, you know? :)

My character is PgInd-Mal.

A young woman from a very wealthy and influential family who inherited a sidewinder from her grandfather.
As soon as she qualified as a pilot she abandoned her wealth and privilege to make her way on her own.
She is unconsciously driven by low self-esteem to 'prove' herself to her family and to somehow be re-united with her deceased grandfather, the only member of her family with whom she felt any sense of kinship.

That's the back story anyway, how the story will develop for young Asuka is a work in progress.

Federation citizen. Worked hard all my life believing the Federation was the good and proper way to organize a society. Reached middle age and (bit of a mid life crisis), decided to use my hard earned credite to buy a sidewinder and see a bit of the Galaxy.
Seeing how the other half live, I realised that all was not as I had thought. The corruption and oppression of the Federation was plain to see, almost as bad as the evil Empire. I headed off to Alliance space and now dedicate my efforts to supporting the Alliance and fighting the corruption of the Federation and evil of the Empire in any way I can.
