Newcomer / Intro Exploration

But, there are many ways to do this, from tourists who want to go places, to those who want to scan every last ice cube. All are equally valid.

Quite correct. The thing that is grinding my gears atm is those who have read nutters guide and think they know everything about exploring without giving the process more than a perfunctory thought.

I agree! Nutter's Guide is a good place to start, and Commander Sirocco has been posting some excellent advice on this very forum of late. But mainly I think the best way for new explorers to learn is to simply get out there. Travel a few hundred light years out, see how it goes, and then plan for the next trip.

Ultimately I don't think exploration is that difficult - though there are little tidbits worth knowing - it mainly requires stamina. It can get very repetitive very quickly, and isn't for everyone, but it can very satisfying.

When you hit the reply button you should have a row of buttons above the box you type in. Six of them. In the sixth box it's the third icon.

I finally figured it out. A hearty Thank You to all who helped me in my search for this.

My problem was my screenshots were saving as .bmp and I had to convert to .jpg.
