I thought I would salvage a bit of cargo that a pirate dropped. I knew I would have to sneek into the station.

Icould have used an outpost but thought im an allie and unlikely to get scanned. So went in hot. Result. Minor problem. No black market. No probs try some where else. I got scanned on the pad whilst awaiting docking release and fined. Well you learn something new. I thought once you were in you were safe.

If I had been wanted. Would the station have opened fire on me?

No, but the security ships roaming around the station would, after they´d scan you.

Never been scanned inside the station by security, are you sure it wasn't another CMDR?

Dont know who by just got fined ad I could not off load illicit goods

Surely if you got scanned after entering a station then that is a bug? Maybe you should log the issue just in case.

If the cargo is no longer worth the risk, you can always jettison it on the pad.

Neither had I until today, then I got the scan while on the pad, followed by the clean, free to go message.
