Another 200cr thread that won't be heard!

So just to clarify , this is going to be another one of those 200cr bounty threads that probably won't change anything but will help me vent my frustration and anger.

Literally just broke my mouse in frustration after accidentally hitting an npc in a RES in my Fully equipped Python costing me £70 mil.

This 200cr bounty for an accidental hit is completely barmy and I for the life of me cannot understand why Frontier decided to include such a mechanic.

The frustration doesn't necessarily come from the 200cr fine, but from the players on here that don't bother using a warrant scanner.

This 200cr bounty I incured not only meant that my ship was immediately destroyed by the Npc's but by a player who I shall not name and shame.

In my book, in general, if I see a player in red with a bounty, I'm going to almost 100% assume it's only a 200cr bounty and not worth my time. Players on here need to realise that your kill just ruined someone's game by not scanning them first!!!!!! I'm sure some of you will dissagree with this but surely it's common curtesy to check why your shooting at someone?? No?

I now cannot afford the rediculously high insurance for my Python and have to start from scratch in a silly sidewinder as insurance for my Python is over 5mill!!!!!!

When will frontier realise that this mechanic is causing more frustration than its supposed to and alter the gameplay.

At present, I don't know if I can be bothered playing any more, saving up for that Python took weeks of hard work and I put a hell of a lot of flying hours in to warrant that ship.

In my opinion, pathetic.

Expect all the normal responses for the normal reasons.

There's a dev update coming soon which discusses changes to how criminal activity is handled and I suspect that there might be some changes to this aspect of the current system there.

I flew without enough to cover insurance in a Res to get Enough money to afford the insurance plus extra. Was killing an anaconda at the time.

I'm not here to ask for automated cruise? That would ruin the game.

Whilst I get that this is most probably the 100,000th 200cr thread, I felt it necessary to vent.

For the info of others; 70 million credits is not enough to take a Python into combat, especially without insurance.

LOL - what's the insurance on a Vulture? -

Troll bait - LOL

Thanks for starting the fun OP!

What a shame there aren't any threads warning about not flying w/o insurance.

You are lying, OP. Your entire story is made up. You forgot to check how much a fully kitted python costs.

My Python was practically a-grade, beam weapons. Pulse lasers, put over 20 mil into that ship hence the lack of funds.

Not looking for sympathy, sorry for the thread.

I sure hope not. They have said that there will be some sort of change to the insurance, so that players with big expensive ships might have some wriggle room. I imagine FD continue to be surprised at how many people manage to get to fly big expensive ships and still make such a basic error. So a change that makes stupidity painful, rather than very painful, would probably make sense. But, really, even if you think the whole 'lose the ship if you cannot afford the insurance' mechanic is daft, there is a very simple work around: never fly without insurance.

I was going to say that 200cr threads are the new insurance threads. But then I saw this was just an insurance thread.

Your fault was not to run as soon as you got wanted. If you have Police all around you in a slow ship, plus a unfriendly other player around... the second and much bigger fault was to fly without insurance. This cannot be excused and you will have to learn from that experience. Sorry for your loss though.

+1 rep to ya

Must be a slow day for the OP trying to fight boredom.

In any case, he'll get what he deserves.
