Galnet News needs your help - How is Reorte pronounced?

The unofficial Galnet News youtube channel needs your help with a question of the utmost importance:

How is Reorte pronounced?

The agricultural system of Reorte in the Lave cluster just made the news this week. In the past, the population of Reorte was mostly known for their eccentric love of tourists and the earthquakes that plague their planet. It however became the battleground for a conflict between an Alliance and a Pirate group!

We are facing a big problem at Galnet News. It is impossible for us to reach an agreement on how to actually pronounce the name of that bloody planet. I mean, that beautiful and unique jewel in the stars.

In order to solve this, we are reaching out to the community! Can you be the hero that will help us pronounce Reorte correctly before it is too late!?

My French upbringing makes me pronounce it Re-ort. I'd like to point-out that there seems to be a concentration of French speakers in-game characters in the Old Worlds such as Lave.

That's 'zh' as in 'measure'.

Hope the IPA characters show OK in Windows.

I'd pronounce it ree-or-tay.


But it's really a to-may-to, to-mah-to kind of issue. It's not "wrong" or "right", just different. Kinda like armor and armour. They're both correct, just different dialects of the same language. At least, it's like that to me. I'm sure someone will take offense to how I view it.

I'd say don't sweat it, and carry on broadcasting!

We need to divide the 2-syllable lobby.
