Why are you telling us this Uncle Itchy? Well, I'll explain myself.
I have been out exploring for a couple of weeks. The bit to the right of Sol, as far as Eta Carinae. It has been fun but also tediously boring with hardly any exciting discoveries. Nearly 15,000LY travelled and only 1 earth like discovered. Then about 4-5 days a go I started to notice that when jumping the list of possible jumps was getting shorter and shorter. Sometimes only giving me 2-3 systems to jump to. Strange I thought, should be more populated than that. Then not 30 minutes ago I logged on and tried to plot a route to head back to Sol and every system I chose kept telling me the the route was unavailable. Hmmmmm, something not right here. So I played around with the galaxy map rotation and found I was at the top of our spiral arm. Purely by accident and unintentional. So now I am wasting time heading down and to more populated areas.
The moral of this story? Well, pay attention because you can go up or down as well as sideways and otherways.
