We at the Earth Defense Fleet feel that we have the obligation to point out the inaccuracies and bias news reporting of the GalNet. On April 27 an article was released concerning the on going events in Liaedin and Volungu. This article was misleading and inaccurate. You maybe asking your self how do we know this. We know the truth of the events because we are directly involved in them.
For some time now Patron's Principles has been losing its grip on Liaedin. And because of these events the Earth Defense Fleet felt it was time to free the system from the empire's control. Part of our strategy was to bolster the surrounding systems starting with Volungu.
It has come to our attention That the system of Liaedin has become a known safe harbor for Imperial commanders such as those who belong to the East India Company. They use the system as a base of operations to attack Federation commanders. We at the Earth Defense Fleet felt this has to stop. Now of course we have not been alone on this effort but are allies have been slow in giving us support.
As far as GalNet news article is concerned they have said the the East India Company was brought in as a pease keeping force this is is not true. They are there protecting there own self interest. Doing their best to make sure the system remains safe for there pirate operations. Now I not going to say they are the only Imperial pirate group working out of Liaedin there are others. But the East India Company is the only group mentioned in the article and they were inaccurately called peacekeepers.
We at the Earth Defense Fleet felt that it was important that the Community of elite know the truth.
