Ships The only ship for which I'd abandon my beloved Clipper!

The way David Braben described it, it fits my ideal ship very much:

The Imperial Courier is a shiny fast multi-role ship. Of course you can use it as a fighter, but it is not a specialist.

Fast, pretty, not too large or bulky, just one pilot!

Perfect ship to fly through the galaxy as an Imperial Agent!

I'd love to see one really fast light-trader, blockade-runner etc. I hope this is it. Because of the boost speeds, even the Viper can't easily escape from slower craft like the Vulture. I'd love to see something that could outrun anything, even if it had to compromise on shields or weapons to do it.

Yes, those pictures from the courier in the 3D modeling tool look nice!

I imagine it's going to be the perfect super sports car with hidden gadgets and weapons for Imperial secret agents (like 007's Aston Martin in Goldfinger ;) )

Yep, this one's definitely for me. Spent the last week ranking up to Lord and gathering cash...can't see it being as expensive as a Clipper, but it'll probably be somewhere north of a Vulture given that it's multi-role so we're probably talking about the 10-12 million mark. Of course, that means it's also going to have to be significantly better in most regards than the other fast multi-role ship in the game (the Cobra). I'm hoping for better speed than a Vulture, and agility between a Cobra and a Vulture. Looks like hardpoints are either two medium and one large or two small and one medium. I'm hoping it's going to be the former...

...all of which means that it's probably going to be a prime candidate for a nerf at some point (or at least an explosion of "NERF IT!" calls in the forum).

I have to agree with the OP... I cannot wait for this bird to get released!

But, it is a two seater, they are tandem vs side by side.

I don't know if these are official images, but they look reasonable. Going by these, the Courier will be significantly smaller than for example the Anaconda or Clipper, more similar in size to for example the Cobra.

Cobra is wide, but short. Courier looks slimilar in width, but is longer, closer to ASP. I have hope this ship will get good FSD range. This clear canopy is great for hardcore exploration.

I think she will be somewhere between the Adder and Cobra in Size

I hope it is ASP size, but bigger

The longer I look at those human-size-comparison-pictures of the individual ships, the more I get the feeling the Courier might actually be much smaller than the even the Cobra, more comparable in size to the Sidewinder! (the human in the Courier image looks much taller than the one in the Cobra image)

And tbh., I think the Courier being a small ship rather than a medium one (referring to the pad size it can land on) would be pretty cool! Having a new ship in the Sidewinder/Hauler/Eagle category that isn't a starter ship would give the ship a unique twist, and also emphasize it's purpose as a Courier rather than a fighter or transporter.
It could come with very limited cargo space (for example 16-24 (max) cargo) which can hold all levels of passenger cabins (while Sidewinder/Hauler etc. only hold low-level passenger cabins), have great thrusters for increased escape chance and good jump range to quickly deliver important passengers, data or small amounts of high value cargo to their destination. The downsides would be light armaments, weak shields (not too weak, of course) and the mentioned limited cargo space.
