Laws of Attraction and Fratricide

I came across these psychotic twin planets while out exploring. I have named them Jennifer and June, after the pseudo-mythical Gibbons Twins.

Orbiting around a central point at close proximity, its only a matter of time I suspect. So much alike and quite inseparable. Existing in a state of perpetual mortal combat, prey and predator, they square off, matching each others position both eager to kill, waiting for that eventual moment.

Cool shot... looks a bit unstable though - the rings of the nearer planet look to be heading out towards what would be the domain of the slightly further planet... in reality I don't think either planets rings would be as ordered as you see them there. Each would perturb the other's ring systems. Still, you never know.

You'd end up with a smash-up cloud of tiny pieces surrounding both planets. Very difficult to approach and land on, for sure! :D

The outer rings would probably be more fuzzy and be drawn in the direction of the other planet, but without seeing the orbital lines, maybe that part already happened (minus the fuzzy).

I don't think rings can be formed with the gravitational disturbance of the other planet, maybe a much bigger belt farther away, having the point in between both planets as the center of gravity.
