No Targets in RES ?!?!?! BH poor Cr/h rate

Hi,

it seems that I hardly get any targets in RES anymore since a couple of days. I have to fly half the map to get a WANTED ship and very often, there's nothing to shoot.

What are your experiences? Is it worth/better to bounty hunt in an indepentend system/RES?

I got a lot of nice instances 2 weeks ago with Anacondas etc. etc. and I was able to do 1, 2 Mio. per hour. That was great. But not it seems that I hardly can hit the 1 Mio. if at all!!

Just reset the instance, never took me more than 5 minutes resetting to get a good Anaconda/Dropship/Clipper/Python ones....

I did many times. Just got low bounty ships. I flew out of RES 4, 5 times and always ended up with this scenario. Does it matter how populated the system is you BH in?
And again is it better to BH in pirate areas?

I just quit to main menu, much faster

Population does not matter, 100% random.

You can do it in anarchy but it will actually be worse as everybody is clean so you need to scan all of them.

Jumped into one last night and racked up a million credits in an hour. Luck of the draw i guess!

I supose you would do that if you are only intetested in grinding but for me that would kill the Immersion and is just exploiting the game mechanics. Each to their own but not the way i want to play the game!

seems maybe conflict zones would prob be better lots of targets to easily find., RES is interesting but if you really are looking for action its bst to go to conflict zones it seems ;-).

GREAT! Quit to Main Menu! Super idea.

As for the immersion, well, .... I don't care. I only do care about Credits and when to be able to buy a Python and having enough money to be able to explore and finally play the game without the constant need to make money. For me, the game really starts when I can fly around, participate in Power Play, PvP etc. and not BH all day to make the gap between my Vulture and Python smaller. The Vulture is great but I really would like to fly a Python and explore the game with enough cash in my pocket.

Bad idea. Obviously it doesn't happen often, but there are plenty examples of people logging back into a RES and spawning inside a rock.

You get reimbursed for it, but filing tickets and waiting for that to process is a bigger time sink than simply cruise/de-cruise

You just fly up above the plane of the ring a little way.

I have a theorie. With my python I get the clipper, dropship, python, anaconda and such (and the small ships too). However same RES or different with my FDL I get only the eagle, sidewinder, viper, copra and adder. It is fun but less CR!

I tried all of the above since several days (since I had the FDL). Both pretty much maxed out. Anyone with the same experience?

I fly my Vulture all the time, and I've fairly regularly had spawns of Anaconda after conda or Python, making a million in less than half an hour on a good day.

No such pattern, it is just random.

What is clearly not random is the respawn after you kill off s - they apparently respawn within certain categories, so yes, resetting instances help.

You can get 10 sidewinder instances in a row - and you can get anaconda instances on the first attempt. Random.

I have never seen anything to suggest your own ship type affecting that. For own part, it has been exactly the same behaviour in a wide range of ships I have flown.

Not entirely sure if that helps. It may in fact be so, and then again it may not. You most definitely don't spawn in the same location as you logged out anyway, you spawn at a generated, randomized coordinate, but there may obviously be some sort of range cap on that randomness. If so, flying away from the belt will obviously help yes. Then again, in that case you may just as well cruise and de-cruise.

Same. Cobra, Vulture, Asp, Clipper, Conda.... makes no difference to me. Some times you have to reset a lot to get a good instance, other times I get good instances on the very first try.

Just to confirm resetting the instance can be done by jumping to SC and back?

Yes. Leave the RES (SC) and reenter, then you should get a new instance.

Maybe I just got a series of bad instances. I'll try later today. But there were hardly any ships on Sunday and I jumped out and in a lot. And I had to fly far within the RES to get a WANTED ship.

This randomness happens to me also. Just the other day I had 2each of python, clipper & anaconda in half hour...
that and 725000cr in bounty

Same here, doesn't matter if I am flying the Python or the Vulture... Sometimes I get low spawns (Sideys, ...) I just get a bit above the ring of asteroids, log off to main, log in again and most of the time the Annies come to say hello to me and my Python/ Vulture.

Honestly, there would be no need to log in and out if there was a real relationship between the system's state of affairs and the pirates present there. With the current mechanics it makes no difference jumping in and out of a RES to reset the instance or login in and out. They are both equally immersion breaking for me, so I opt for the faster approach.
