What do you use your Python for?

So just got a fully decked out Python as an all around ships, but everything I do with it seems...lacking. Took it out for trade fund, definitely more fun to fly than T9 and Conda, but can't help but feel bad about lower profits. Then I took it to an RES. It performed adequately, but somehow I can't dance with it like a Vulture. Tried starting a rare run, but jump range kinda sucks. So is there something I can do with a Python that only it's best at?

Used it to haul 284 ton runs from an outpost during Community Goal. Big boys making 40 ly runs compared to my 18 ly jump. Was in top 5 percent. That is all I have done with mine. Haul freight and run missions to outposts. No swapping ships that way. And it is the coolest looking ship (imo).

I use mine as pure brawl in RES. No need to dance when clippers and drop ships are debris in 20s, pythons in 25, and anacondas in 30s.
I also do trades sometimes, and find better yields when I include outposts. And the python runs faster than the heavier haulers. Average hourly yield is not too much lower than what I get in my Anaconda, and the change of trading with outposts is nice.

Combat, smuggling, trading, short range (10kLy or less) exploration...

A bit of everything. It's quite versatile, actually...

Awesome trading beast, 276t per haul (I like shields :)) and it can land anywhere. My current trade-optimized fit has a 21LY jump range (empty).

I've done everything with mine except mining and pirating. Explored some 20k lys out. Traded until I couldn't possibly need another million credits (paid for my conda). A beast at the Res. Unstoppable. All you need do is change up your load out to suit the need. The python is an awesome ship that doesn't excel at anything but can do everything quite well. If only it had its pre-nerf speed...

That's the thing with the Python, its good at everything but not the best at anything.

Well if you have to ask ..
Just leave it alone, this ship is not for you, yes it is totally worthless, cant fly, cant fight, only lives because it looks so good. just move on get an Anablunder and be happy. The shiåp has got no use whatsoeverand is a clear mistake on FD's part.
Now , let me repeat: the ship is totally worthless.

:)

Not really a helpful comment. Let me tell you the way it is:

The Python is classified by Frontier as a multi-role ship, along with the Anaconda, Clipper, Cobra and a few others.
This means it has less weapons than a combat ship, less cargo than a trading ship, less jump range than an exploration ship BUT it does not have a weak spot.

Everything in the Python is good, its not great but its not terrible. It allows you to blast through a combat zone and then easily re-fit your ship to trading. As I say its not the best at anything and not advised for PvP combat, but it will do fine at anything you ask really.

My Python is a full combat ship flying around in Combat Zones and sometimes RES. It dominates any NPC and is capable of defensive PvP. You have not to worry about anything in 1on1 situations because basically only full combat Condas can threaten you but it has the same problem as the Python as you just retreat. Also good in wing combat as you can tank a lot while also having serious firepower.

I am a nomad and do whatever pays best at any given time or place. Python fits that like a glove. I'll even take it out exploring when I'm bored of homo sapiens infested areas.
