Soontill Relics, the Regor Permit Sector and DB's cryptic hints....

This is what I'm saying. Draw a line from LM station through the California sector. Where does it lead to? I'm at work for the next 3 hours but I'm curious to see if anyone checked this yet. If it leads to a permit system then maybe that's our clue.

I suggested this a couple of pages back. I'm going to make a cuppa, and jump to LN system before my kids need to eat again. Maybe. If I'm quick.

LM is sadly over 1000 LY from the California system so there's no way of drawing a line straight to it. No permit systems or anything around here that I can see. I'll probably quickly hop back to civilised space.

Has anyone ever flown up to polaris? Just to check out the systems around it. It's probably just another goose chase as we all sit here far too impatient to grind through WSS.

Drawing lines is easy. We have 3D coordinates. With a startpoint and another point we can extrapolate or interpolate to our heart's content.

He Bo is one of the most populated Alliance system and one of the most populated systems in the galaxy with 24.4 billion people, I'd be worried about that outbreak!

Well I can't spot anything significant with a quick eyeball. The Perseus Dark Region is kind of in that line, past California from LN, I suppose. Please don't take that as any kind of evidence or lack of evidence, it's just a quick scoot along the line, lining it up by eye as best I can. The California Nebula is pretty big itself.

He Bo is out of the question, there's nothing here.

Also, the "plague" that was used against the Thargoids was actually a FUNGUS. If that helps in any way...

The story behind LN station is that after he passed away FDev named an already existing station after him as tribute. The station was not added in, nor do I think it has anything to do with UA. We have reports that UA were found in seemingly meaningless systems that have nothing obviously special about them.

I'm pretty sure this is true. UAs will probably be found anywhere, just on a rare drop. Although the fact the LN was renamed at the same time as UAs were introduced and then LN was featured in the Wings trailer along with a UA... Worth not ruling out entirely I think. And fun speculation regardless. ;)

Actually, I might just sit in He Bo a little longer.

I'm currently flying out past the furthest planet from the sun, just to check all avenues.

(A Thargoid ship hiding in deep space to oversee the parasite deployment haha XD) << Imagine

EDIT:

Also, this is a quote from DB concerning the Thargoids. It gives us a little insight into what we can expect from them when they're introduced:

"I do hope. I think they [Thargoids] are great fun. I don’t like it when Star Trek with the stick on ears and stick on foreheads just annoyed me because they are all basically humanoids. In fact, all basically American humanoids. I think if you are going to have an alien make them alien. For me they do that. That’s why I want them to be as terrifying and as alien as we can make them."

I think we may need to refocus and highlight some of the things we know.

1. The only confirmed finding of these artifacts has been from Redeye. He found these outside of a system that has any connections to aforementioned Lore, GalNet Articles, or literature. Which leads me to believe that they can be found in any system in the galaxy. Which means that unless GalNet says, "A convoy carrying Unknown Artifacts coming from x-system heading to x-system was spotted" we probably don't need to spend a ton of time moving from system to system.

2. If they can be found anywhere, we need to increase our odds of finding them. Its been said above that the higher population systems seem to spawn more signal sources than those with lower populations. I think we need to concentrate our efforts looking through these systems.

3. Once we find these signal sources, its important to make sure that we're looking at the cargo of any vessels we come across. Of the few confirmed facts we have on these UA's, one is that they were added at the same time the rest of the "make piracy more viable" materials were added. They were intended to be taken as loot by pirates. I don't doubt that we can find them floating in space, just don't pass up an opportunity by not checking the cargo of these ships.

Also, if there is a GalNet article about this, I'd hope that there would be some way to let the rest of us know if/when someone finds one and deciphers the meaning. Otherwise someone joins the hunt and then solves the puzzle the rest of us have been working on. I.E. have them put it on display at some station for a reward worth more than the UA sells for.

Fly Safe Commanders, I'd reckon the 'verse has many secrets left to share.

Ok after looking at those videos about the sounds emiting from the canisters and started looking at different system maps you have never explored nor been to! Im getting crasy shivers looking at these system maps and hearing the sounds. Well i am. I still get em writing this and im far from home. Will not get back untill tuesday i think

Darn it.. Il equip an asp out when i get back, weapons, cargo scanner
Interdictor et all ...

Who else is up for getting some strong unidentifed signals explored?

BUT (I don't like what I'm about to say) DB said that there is a secret in "deep space". You reach deep space when you leave the 'populated' area of any system. Unfortunately, in my experience, the USS/WSS occur more frequently in these 'populated' parts of a system (near a planet, main star).

Maybe, the UA only spawn in WSS when you are in the "deep space" area of a system. (I already feel the pain.)
