Dev Update Crime Special - Q and A's

So a question that I haven't seen answered (may have been answered in another thread, I haven't seen it):

I like to bounty hunt in RES's. I'm usually pretty good about trigger discipline but occasionally a stray round will hit and I'll have to turn tail as every system authority vessel in the RES will converge on me for my 200cr bounty. Does this mean that I now need to keep a stock sidewinder in the RES station just so I can return in it, get killed, pay off the rebuy + 200cr and keep going?

As well as the crime update they're going to improve the friendly fire rules with V1.3, plus they've promised to reduce the number of unshielded NPC ships. If it's just the odd "stray round" and you don't have the incorrect ship targeted you should be fine... but if you're doing the "odd stray round" with plasma accelerators or something then yes you're gonna get a 7 day bounty etc. There's been no mention of any special "allowances" to the new system, other than the FF improvements.

I've redrawn Soma's flowchart to make it easier to follow (though there's not actually any new information in it). I poseted it in a couple of other threads so I figured I'd put it in here too. Props to Cmdr Soma who compiled the original.

Great chart, much more readable than the one I threw together. No wonder my company does not let me come near UIs.. am definitely more of a backend person :)

Thanks, glad you like it :) You did all the hard work.. I just made it look pretty. :)

I got a bounty during bounty hunting at RES (still believing it was a bug, but anyway):

It is not listed in statistics as a lifetime bounty. Will the legacy fine be listed as a lifetime fine in statistics (I really do care about it and think of restarting because of that)?
