Imperial Courier - What happened???

I was a little shocked going back through the old newsletters.
I totally forgot about the first courier picture that was a sneak peak in September '14

.

Now, 8 month later we see this:

What happened to the beautiful concept? :S

The first one is actually Clipper´s cockpit. maybe they changed it for clipper and due to courier being smaller they used the second one..

Personally I prefer the second, but the second doesn't scream Gutamaya to me.

Gutamaya sold out to Roberts Space Industries - the original Courier will be in Star Citizen

There's a giant issue I have with the second one and it isn't the dimensions.
What in the name of all that is holy is that seat doing in the courier!

So makes sense the two seater became a one seater, the Clipper inherited the top design for the most part.

Besides the top being made the Clipper cockpit, so the second would be smaller, the second one looks like an in-game model, as it has those Faulcon deLacy seats.

There's another Courier cockpit internal floating around.

Judging on the difference we've seen between concept and reality I think I know what the diamondback is going to look like.

Actually I prefer the system map we have now, if we only got one or the other.

That wouldbe nice as an additonal map view however

There's no likelihood about it, that's the clipper's cockpit.

The imperial courier was a big ship in Frontier (130t hull vs the cobra mk3's 20t hull), so yeah - ED's clipper is that ship with a name change:

I'd guess most people associate "courier" with bike messengers, so it's a more fitting name for the smaller ship.

very true.

atm the cutter seems to be the one that is going to be the big empire ship, while clipper is the middle one, and courier is the smallest one.

and the names in my mind do reflect this a bit.
