Hello fellow citizens of the multiverse!

You may be aware that today is a very important day for all (well... some) of us, as we are about to decide who will lead us for the next 5 years. Unless there is a revolution in the meantime.

To bring elections closer to our beloved part of the multiverse, here are brief dossiers on all 5 most prominent parties and their leaders, who may soon be in charge of us all (well... some of us anyway).

Firstly, let me introduce the Sensible Party, and its leader The Most Interesting Man In The World:

The-Most-Interesting-Man-In-The-World.jpg

The Sensible Party is determined to make life better for all of us, particularly for members of Pilots Federation. They want to introduce additional events, such as Official Purple Hog Racing, Supranational Demolition Derby, Grand Bounty Chase or Galactic Lottery with ships as main prizes. Apart from that, the Sensible Party aims to provide funds for the Pilots Federation to increase credit limit for its members, and to create new laws for protection of the citizens of the Galaxy.

The leader of the party had this to say:
”I don't always run for leadership...
… but when I do, I bring free ships.
Stay thirsty gentlemen.”

----------

The second candidate, from Slightly Silly Party representing interests of the Empire, is Senator Patreus, (who, judging by his hairstyle is a descendent of a British Olympic Athlete):

The Slightly Silly Party wants to spread the influence of the Empire by giving away free Gutamaya ships for every pilot that joins their ranks. They want to introduce free faction specific PvP pass for every player, so all pilots will be able to engage in free, unrestricted slaughter. It was also mentioned that the Party works on new generation of weapons, that will be able to obliterate enemy pilots within 1-2 hits. They sound... Dangerous... as in Elite: Dangerous.

The leader of the Slightly Silly Party stated:
“Our primary goal is to make combat more common, we want people to blow each other up! Glory to the Empire!”

----------

The third party is a Silly Party, led by a person known only as The Joker:

The main objective of the Silly Party is not entirely clear. There are conflicting reports as to what the Party wants to do: some say they want to remove all fuel scoops apart from 1E, and introduce obligatory bubble heads, and failure of displaying them would result in death penalty. Also it was suggested that they want to install massive thrusters on space stations, so they will fly away from pilots that want to dock on them. Some stations may randomly fly towards pilots, trying to ram them. Those will be called “Griefing Stations”.

The leader of the Party said in the interview:

”Why so serious?”

Sadly that was all he had to say.

----------

The forth party, the Very Silly Party, led by Giorgio Tsoukalos:

The only statement on the Party's policies came from its leader, who had this to say:

”I'm not saying it's aliens...
… but it's aliens”

----------

And the last party, the Green Thargoid Party, led by Hsrrashhal'shiizzzarkimmsss'rashshshsazarsh'irrrhfshaish'kussssalisheh:

The statement, declaring party's goals come from its leader [the following statement is automatically translated from the Thargoid native language, by GalNet Translation Software]:

”We, the Glorious Thargoid Hive greet our bipedal mammal friends from ground/soil/earth [translation unclear] //
Our friendship be much strong //
Peace and prosperity be our common goal //
Long relationship of the past, covered/shrouded/hidden [translation unclear] in life liquid is no more //
The future is in front of all, who stand in the light of cooperation //
Bipedal mammal friends from ground/soil/earth [translation unclear] be much nice to the Glorious Thargoid Hive at present //
The Glorious Thargoid Hive repay/give back/recompense [translation unclear] cooperation //
The Glorious Thargoid Hive communication drones be in space,transmitting/sending/delivering [translation unclear] message to all bipedal mammal friends from ground/soil/earth [translation unclear] //
The message of friendship and prosperity to all //
//

That's it...
Who will get your vote?

We are now getting preliminary results from the polls, my colleges from the studio will now take over:

I of course voted for the very silly party, will read the post later. Because voting the very silly Party in a very silly way seems reasonable :p

Abstaining.

Last time I voted Thargoids because they promised they wouldn't raise tuition fees but would instead eat students. Disappointingly some students are still alive. They also said they'd do something about anti-social behaviour, but I fly through stations all the time which have graffiti such as "Praize der empror" or "Baks in iz bigness".

Also, is it just me or does the Slightly Silly Party candidate really look like Ed Miliband?

"None of the Above." (Abstain.) Thank you, I only wish it were possible in our actual election. Mind you, I wanted to vote Green Thargoids but there's no candidate in my system.

This has been so informative. You could, nothing short of -revolutionise- British politics.

You at least, speak the truth.

The NATOORAT for Pres...err...Prime minister!

I, for one, welcome the dominion of our chittering veridian overlords. Yes, a vote for the Green Thargoids may be a vote for abject slavery and unceasing toil in their sugar mines, and mandatory Hkkk'kkkk'kk lessons in school will burn out our children's voice boxes by age 14, but... what an exciting change from all the usual politics!
