Just released on Twitter - Steam Keys

In before the deluge of players posting to apologise for their massively vitriolic and over the top reaction to not getting keys on day one... oh, wait... not gonna happen is it.
It's nice to have all my games under one launcher that updates them. It's just a matter of convenience. I was a little bummed when I found out the game came out on Steam just a few days after I bought it.

Plus we can post reviews on Steam, access the forums directly and counter a lot of the FUD that some twits on there are spewing. An opinion posted by a player with 200 hours play visible is respected a lot more than someone with 1-2. And let's face it, 200 hours is nothing to most of us.
I didn't even think about that. I'm not sure I want to see how much time I spend on this game...

if you check the thread they linked to, they say that on the 28th we can generate a steam key from our account.
Those of us who already use Steam will find it a lot tidier- plus Steam won't constantly insist that we're playing "Elite Dangerous Launcher" all the time (a lot of people launch the game from Steam to get the overlay features- the webkit browser in-game, the reliable voice and text comms etc.).
As a Steam user and a KS backer, I say yay!
(..just like I did in the proper official thread. However, I'm saying "yay" in this one too, as it's nice to see FD deliver on something like this. Very nice.)

Woot!!!!
I would say at least I won't forget to update Elite every time I want to play, but we still have to use the official launcher if we transfer over.
