Stealth ramming isn't one of their new tricks, you can still see them just not lock target/radar.

I'm suggesting workarounds (ie keep your speed down near the letterbox) and if you bother to read a few of these threads you'll see I've been using (and suggesting that others use) solo to bypass these griefers for months, with the incoming speed restriction I'll be able to stop bothering with that workaround.

You see no tears, just a question as a pure solo/mobius player how does this effect you.

Trolls at George Lukas in Leesti

Hey everyone.

2 gamers were trolling people on the George Lukas Station in Leesti. They killed them deliberately inside the station by ramming them. I reported them together with some other players and declared it in the local chat (I admit to that being kind of stupid). Having done that, and wanting to leave the station, I got attacked by a missile and lasers inside the station by one of them, while the other guy rammed me against the wall until my ship exploded.
I had just bought a brand new imperial clipper and had just gotten a new FSD Drive. Little me, all happy to be able to buy the FSD Drive, didn't watch the insurance. Now my baby is gone and I can start again with a sidewinder. Is there any way that I can get back the clipper? If not, I'll probably stop playing, the trolls did exactly what they wanted to, they ruined the game for me.
On the support website I can't find anything that could have anything to do with that. I would only need to have 100.000 Credits more to be able to pay the insurance fee :((

Help?!

Edit: Just remembered that I've still got an asp somewhere, so the only problem would be to get to it in a sidewinder. which means I haven't lost all of my assets (yet) :)

I feel a disturbance in the Force. I sense a forum infraction in your future.

Just report them from the game menu or in a support ticket. Never, ever, post a forum thread with player names.

It wouldn't hurt to put in a ticket explaining what happened to your ship, with the details you used above (names, place where it happened, approximate date and time) and ask if they can restore the ship. It's possible, though it may take some time before you get a reply.

One lesson you learned here the hard way. Be patient, save enough to afford the insurance when you upgrade. Never fly what you can't buy, unless you're willing to risk losing it all and starting over.

You shouldn't have been flying something you couldn't afford to replace. A fix for in station ramming is already slated for the next patch.

You can try a support ticket but I don't think it will help you.

As stated, remove the names. (It's considered harassment and against ToS) Doubt it will happen, but try a support ticket to get your ship back. Screenshots may or may not help your case. It's difficult to escape the griefing these people are doing, so they may take pity on you.

With 5 Billion of credits these morons will continue to do as they please, when they and how they want regardless, the speed limit or Private/Group swapping will have NO impact on them or there game-play, banish them end of story, I think there are already mechanisms coming into play now to help do this, so come on FD sort these idiots out once and for all.

A tip for you when you run into something like this in the future. If you're sure they're griefing by ramming other players, exit the game, relog in Solo, and then leave the station. Once you're clear of the station, take a short FSD hop, drop out of Supercruise, and exit from Solo, then relog back into Open. This way the floating poo won't be able to hit your ship. :D

With all these threads on the forums about "griefers at george Lucas station", you'd think anyone on the forums would know to stay away. Oh well, I guess the power of rares is stronger than common sense.

There is also the option for a permanent ban, this would only usually apply to account trading, severe harassment or abusive players.
