2,000 Million cr bounty?

I saw a 2 Brillion cr (2000 Million) bounty today at Gurney Slade (near Lave) while shopping for the Diso community goal I thought the bounty farming bugs had been fixed. Perhaps not. The Federation bounty boards show an 89 MCr bounty which is suspecious, but this 2000 MCr is surely impossible to achieve legitimately. Gurney Slade is an independent systen with low traffic.

Put in a ticket, have the Dev team look at it. They'll be able to tell if it's legit or was missed in the purge.

It's still possible to get them higher than 1 million, but you have to do a lot of running around to do it now. Bounties were only capped at 1 million per individual minor faction, if I recall. In this case he'd have had to max his bounties with over 2,000 factions, which seems a bit far fetched.

There may be more refinement planned for 1.3, but the original fix went in as an update on April 21st.

Nope. You can still accrue multimillion credit bounties, and claim them. The bounty farmers just can't do it as easily (in theory) as they used to.

The server update will go live this morning at 11 am. It has the following changes and a known issue.

- Prevent being fined by the same authority more than once for carrying illegal goods near a station
- Cap all bounties to 1 million credits per minor faction
- Set all current bounties above 1 million credits to 1 million credits

Known issue:

When destroying another Commander's ship, the initial notification of any bounty awarded will incorrectly state the value if the bounty has been limited to 1 million credits. The correct value will be shown in the Transactions cockpit interface and when redeeming the bounty.

The bounties are issued by the minor factions so you can accrue multi-million credit bounties across multiple minor factions.

Gurney Slade is Independent with 5 minor factions. Does that mean that the theoretical maximum bountry on its bounty list should be 5 MCr?
I can see how Federayion or Empire bounties can be higher, because they include many minor factions

I think only the ones currently in charge of a station can issue the bounties. So if there are 5 factions, but only one station, you'd only be able to accrue bounties with the one. I think one of the Devs addressed that somewhere, I just haven't located the post.
