Battieries went flat on my Logitech GHz 2.4

Well, thats kinda a big deal now..

Since I'm drunk, all shops and gas stations are closed, I cant get new ones.. !!!!!

Have to wait at least 15 more hours before i can get new ones.. NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They last 50 hours they said.. Cant belive I used all that in just one week... !!!
Damn you Logitech, Damn you all!!!

I thought about going back to store to buy more batteries but figures.. NAH.. no way in hell i've played 50 hours already.. But... clearly I did..
If i been sober i could take an 45 min drive to nearest gas station to buy more batteries..

Never going Mouse/keyboard after using joystick :) I loved it.. was awesome..
I can use my ps4 controller tho but its not as awesome to fly with as the stick..

an old trick i used to do was put them in near boiling water for about 10-15 mins.

it should give you 2-3 more hours of use.

there are reasons i never go wireless on my gaming computer...and this is one of them.
well, i got a wireless headset... but this i can make "wired" whenever i forgot to charge :)
(i just loved going to grab a beer midst of raid and keep talking to the people... they never knew a healer was afk *g*)

Didn't know logitech had a wireless joystick so i made the incorrect assumption you were talking about a wireless mouse orunning out of batteries. Sorry about that.

Nothing around to borrow the batteries from then?

Nope, its past midnight here, so dont wanna go around ringing doors while drunk asking for AA batteries..

I got 2 fresh AA batteries in my Logitech BT keyboard but still need 1 more :/

So when you're sober and the shops are open again, go get rechargeable batteries and a charger. Get enough batteries so you have a full set to use and another ready to go. Either that or get a wired HOTAS.

Also, you should never fly drunk. I've read too many stories of CMDRs crashing their ships that way.

I think new flightstick is cheaper, like the 3D thingie from logitech.. almost similar as my current but without the wireless

I have the same logitech freedom 2.4ghz stick! from 2003-4. easily over 1500 hours of use on it but I used rechargable batteries so downtime was not an issue. It still works but the pots were getting a little jumpy(it was refurbished when i bought it back then so it already had some wear). Bought a brand new Logitech Extreme 3D pro which is the same stick, but wired with 2 more buttons for $25 shipped from newegg

The parts interchange, but I liked the 3D pro better cause those 2 extra buttons come in real handy. So I swapped over the well worn handle, metal trigger and the softer spring from the 2.4 and put it into the 3dPro. It feels so nice and solid now.

Wireless keyboards tend to last for a very long time. Wireless mice? Never used one that had excellent battery life.

I stopped using my wireless keyboard due to aforementioned lag. I carried on using my wireless mouse for a long time, until I found that the spring that kept the battery in place was slack, and it would occasionally just die.

I did try to mend it by sticking a plug of tinfoil between the battery and the contact, but it dropped into the mouse's inner workings and stayed there. After that, I really didn't trust that mouse, so it's back to all wired for me now.

The Logitech mice look like Darth Vader's wet dream, and they have nice handfeel as well. But they will let you down and now you know it. If it was relatively easy to replace the battery without breaking the mouse (maybe it is, I've never tried), then you could have a charged backup battery like a camera. In the end, you just throw the mouse away, and it's loaded with rare earth metals that are terrible for the environment. Recycle if you can!

I use the Razr DeathAdder, but the buttons don't last all that long. A little longer than the Logitech battery life, but not by much. I'm tough on mice and buttons.
