The purpose of turrets.

I'm personally not a fan of the fact that despite being on top of that big robotic arm, turrets are still somehow incapable of aiming down. It makes combining turrets with fixed or gimballed weapons awkward, and is also just plain silly. Target smack dab in front of you? To bad the turret can't hit it, since the turret did a bit above / below / to the side of your center line, and can't aim down to hit anything centered with your ship.

Wait so c2 pulse is bugged? What does it (not) do? I was thinking of putting some turrets in 2-3 hard points on my conda, or maybe going all out and having all of them forward facing is a better idea after all.

If they fixed this ridiculous fitting arc issue, and also fixed the issue of turrets getting bounties put on my head, I'd gladly incorporate them into my setups.

They do nothing save in "fire at will" mode. And even then they randomly shut off. Also energy weapons do ~ the same damage per energy save beam weapons, which suck. So you are better off getting two or three high energy use weapons (C3s for example) that max out what your power distributor can handle and use the other slots for kinetic weapons. An example would be 4 hard points that do 1 damage at .5 energy use each vs 2 hard points doing 2 damage at 1 energy each. Unless you just want to go full turret mode. And turrets do crap damage. If you want to use foward fire mode you are better off using fixed ones. They do top teir damage and damage per energy. Take a fixed C3 bust laser. It does, to shields, 24.97 DPS. Its turreted counter part does 8.78DPS. And as far as damage per energy consumed the turret does 4.73 damage per point of energy consumed, while the fixed does 7.09 damage per point of energy consumed.
