How to view videos from inside ED, by placing them in a specific location?

I am one of the unlucky few that don't use two monitors while playing, but I realize I have enough screen space to be able to view a video (tv show or video course) from inside the game, while trading and exploring.

But I don't have the technical knowledge on how to do that, and I'm hoping someone here is able to help me.

I was thinking of placing the video somewhere over the chat box, like in the image bellow, since I don't use it very much anyway.

So, is it possible to do that? (I'm using SMPlayer as my main video player)

You can do that with a little app called allways on top and running the game borderless. This way the video window will be on top of the game.

SMPlayer can make itself always on top. No need for other tools.

Video menu / Stay on top / Always or While playing.

The game still needs to be Borderless.

Remember, you lose fps in any non-fullscreen modes
I get 230 fps vs 120 fps in a non-busy part of the game between fullscreen and borderless(but I am running 3 screens)

I use MpcStar player since it has "Compact mode" which leaves only the video (hides all controls) and makes itself topmost. My friends thought that it was an ingame video player when they first saw it

Would be cool if you could distort the player to match the perspective of the comms panel.

Thing is , will it be possible ? I mean on PC/MAC yes but sins they have plans for ps4 and xb1 will they? I dont think the game would run on 2fps in 4K on them ''machines''
And dont they want all version to be about the same (hope not... I hope for 4K textures at some point)
