Murder charge in anarchy system?

Hi all

Just tooled myself up with some fun bounty hunting gear and went punk hunting in Quator- after the first kill I get a charge of murder.....but how? On the system map it is an anarchy system.

Whats changed? I went to other anarchy systems near Lave with the same result. I haven't been round these parts for a while- have I missed something?

Wanted vessels are the only ones that can be attacked with impunity; in an Anarchy there are by default no Wanted vessels (until you become one )

It's weird logic but given how long it's been like this, I think it's as intended. As a result it's better to BH in non-Anarchy systems, where you actually have legitimate targets.

The thing is before I left, I would KWS a target in an anarchy system, see if it had a bounty and kill it...now, that makes me wanted in an anarchy system which makes no sense. Has Quator got backing from the Alliance or something?

I've been doing this today and on many other occasions in an Anarchy system and never got a murde rap. Even accidentally shooting an unwanted target didn't get a murder charge.

Galaxy map takes a while ( a lot ) to update. What happened probably is that the system you have entered is controlled by a faction now. Quator atm shows as anarchy system but if you check the system map the only station in the system is under Alliance control. Always check the info on your panel when you enter a system to find out who is in control.

Nice spot SquidofLove! I thought as much that a faction is in control. Guess I must find a new hunting ground....
