It's ok to slander rocks and or rant about them so here we go.....

I was flying around an Arexe RES in my innocent vulture, innocently blowing the bejingles out of anything with red bits in its description. I had spent maybe half an hour racking up a huuge amount of bounty credits on an amazing run of Anaconda's, drop ships, and clippers mixed with a few pythons. I mean half an hour! serious time and effort right? Anyway this Anaconda appears with about 250k bounty so I start innocently shooting at it in a helpless harmless way, My attention is forward and i'm kinda boosting sideway's around it when a rock just smacks into me- that's right me with no warning whatsoever! My shields are gone my hull is at couple of % and this rock didn't even say anything. Then I'm hit by a second rock and I'm wiped out.
Oh the pain and agony! the rocks must have teamed up and formed a "wing of evil quiet slowly rotatingness" and my precious vulture gone! And I only have enough to buy like ten more of them? yeah ten more of them, oh that's ok then never mind......

A rock jumped in front of my Vulture recently resulting in a blown out canopy and hull down to 3%. Thankfully, I managed to make it back to a station.

Those rocks can be real bar stewards!

I mean, they deliberately hide, stealthily, AMONGST OTHER ROCKS, just waiting to pounce on the unwary!!

I can't believe how selfish and self centered you are :D.

The rocks have been minding their own business, quietly circling the planet for billions and billions of years, and then you and your kind fly into THEIR home, start breaking up their friends and family for something called "ore" and to make make matters worse, you bring in other people and start a ruckus in their living room which leads to more mayhem and destruction and you label it a "RES".

How would you like it if someone posted a sign in your living room called RES and all your neighbors gathered there to cause wanton destruction.

You'd be miffed to.....

I was insta-killed by a rock that rammed me. It was defiantly cheating too since it had over 100 wingmates.
The fact I was boosting at full speed following a cobra has nothing to do with it...

Edit: I'm naming the rock "Steve" since "Alan, Alan Alan... Oh that's not Alan..."

This one rock "Tom" kept keeping the ore fragments close to him. Though I didn't die my T6 was bruised badly form his abuse.

Rocks are OP imho and need a serious nerf ASAP! they are too fast, come out of nowhere and are stealth sometimes in dark asteroid belts on the night side of planets.

furthermore they cheat with unlimited hull-hack

seriously FD.....do you want ruin my fun with this game?!

I am a little curious about the name and shame policy, seen as it has been brought up in this thread.


No Naming and Shaming. We do not allow naming and shaming discussions, or posted content deemed to be naming and shaming on the Frontier forums. Naming and Shaming is the act of publicly naming a person or a group of people, and/or ridiculing or accusing them of something. This also includes putting names on a blacklist in your signature, avatar, profile picture, visitor messages or within a thread.



So if you post a video, is that ok even if you can see the cmdrs name in that video, or is it only ok if you are not complaining about that Cmdr, or is it against forums rules at all times. (even though i have seen many videos showing names.

To be honest I think it depends on how you express yourself. (any mods feel free to correct me if I am wrong).

If its a video with, "Came across this guy cutting me up. Did you see how well I avoided him?" - This isn't really complaining, you are posting with the intention of showing your own skill, what others then reply on the thread is their own issue.
If however you say: "Check out this idiot cutting me up and flying like a fool, he should be banned/killed" then obviously thats against the code of practice.

Personally I'd just avoid commenting negatively on anyone or any group and you can post what you like.

I think you may need to consider editing your post - as it breaks the naming and shaming rules ;)

I name and shame Thargoids. They're hiding inside those rocks making you think an inanimate object has a mind of its own. Be aware, be very aware they might just pop out when you least expct it!!

I think if I was to list all my causes of deaths, in order, it would be:

1) Rocks
2) Overheating
.
.
11) Enemy fire

Rocks are nasty. I blame the miners, for getting them all riled up. I mean, wouldn't you be upset if someone came along and cut you in half just to get at some random bits inside you? That'd ruin my morning coffee, that would. They don't even have any faction to represent them and stand up for them. Their only recourse is violence. Damn you, rocks.
