Your first ever death? Mine happened just now.

I boosted in Station door... Nothink new, i'm always doing this when i'm leaving...
I crashed into Lakon-7.

Had three deaths, all down to misjudging the letterbox exit at speed and kissing the wall (Cobra x2 and Asp x1). Life's tough eh.

It was a good death.....

Thank God for insurance!

Killed by the docking computer , not once but four times, most expensive an A grade Asp caught on side rail of pad flipped over and destroyed . Best non death attacked by group of pirates (humans) took out one, then the others rammed me , hull 3% no thrusters started a death spiral then the screen blew out managed to repair thrusters made it to a space station with 12 seconds to spare before my air ran out .

you couldn't make it up

...And just now, fighting pirates... literally, in the middle of a fight with a pirate the system authority vessels had already targeted and were already in the process of shooting, my beam laser turret splashed (for less than a second) a police vessel.

Boom, instant 400 credit bounty, and suddenly all those green bleeps turn red. *Everyone* switches target. Nobody is shooting the pirate. Not one person. The pirate is still shooting me, and so are the police.....

Indeed silly. Hopefully 1.3 will rectify this?

You spending too much of your attention to deaths. I've died 50-70 times during the dumbfire fest in Leesty. We were very noobs with few millions :D

Those were the days. I lost 2 loaded T7s in 5 minutes before wising up...

I committed the boost of shame on entering a station...

Had a near death in my Python as I ran silent and boosted to pass security. Passed through the letter box and tried to slow the beast down. A lot heavier than I thought. Literally scraped my nose on the back end of the station. Those were a scary few seconds... :)

Forgot to ask for docking clearance in a T9. By the time I realized, it was too late. Tried to back out, but the T9 is way too slow. Insta death by station. :)

first and only death so far: was blasting NPCs with a beam laser in a cobra, other CMDR flew through the beam, local security didn't like it and they all turned on me. very very harsh. there's no notion of "accident" or "oops" in ED, at all, right?

Oh yeah, the first death. Didn't know what I'm doing, flying around in my Sidewinder and jumping to systems and... ended in system with no station, out of fuel and no fuelscoop. So it was Suicide then, at least I learnt something very important there ^^

Entering station without permission, totally over my head (OMG, they will shoot me, they will shoot meeee!!!) i hit boost. Survived the crash at the backside but well... only 10 seconds left. The station of course couldn't be convinced to give me landing permission. Well.. never drink and fly :D

I'd just brought an Asp and kitted it out with D rated thrusters, after flying an all A rated Cobra for a while.

First flight in the new ship and I was executing a high speed drifting turn, pitching up, to orientate myself perfectly for a small pad, after an approach towards an outpost from the wrong side. I was a complete expert in this manoeuvre, having performed it, oh, two, maybe three times before in my Cobra.

"Should see the station by now"

"Hmm, should be slowing down by now too..."

The station appeared at the top of my view, big and moving fast. Like a complete pro - I decided it was best to *keep* pitching up to where the pad was.

"I can make this, no problem".

"No I can't. S**t. Argh. I know - boost turn!"

I am yet to die - though the time I exited the slot only to be pushed back into the station by a T9 counts as a close call. Now I make sure as I can be the slot is clear before I head out! ;)

Died when launching using 1.1, speed up and boost up inputs got stuck (even not pressing keys) boosted into the area above the mail slot in a stock sidey instant boom.

My first death was probably back in beta. I can't remember exactly how, but I probably crashed in a station or asteroid.
My last death was intentional ramming by a player in the no-fire zone.

My first death was in open to a player. I was in a hauler and had 6 tons of cobalt for a mission.

Apparently that 6 tons of cobalt was worth the bounty for murder as I was shot down for not dropping my cargo.

First death? No idea! After the first 50 deaths it all turns into a blur. ;)

If you only died once since release you are not living on the edge enough in my opinion. :p

My first day, I stripped down my Freagle, flew to the nearest nebula and found a black hole with the basic discovery scanner.

Also, I once dropped out of SC really, really, really, painfully close to a moon and flew towards it for half an hour to see what would happen.

I bounced off an invisible wall for no damage. Something of an anticlimax really.
