An ironic death, and lessons learned from it.

Nice try but you know very well what my intention was.
I honestly did not.

I thought it had some epistemic or ontological value that you were about to share with me, but I guess not.

You see, the difference between you and I is that your mediation tendency infested your cognitive process so much that you completely refuse to face your aboriginal self. Emerson did emphasize the importance of an active soul, I suppose that is somewhat lost here with your case.

Or that your aboriginal self is precisely the overtly, extreme value-dependent statements you have been making, that can be the case, as well. In that case we just were not meant to be compatible with one another. At least it emphasizes our individualism, which is something to be celebrated, even when inevitable conflict is the only physical manifestation of it.

There's one thing I don't get with the vocal pirates. Playing Solo or group mode is bad but borderline to flat out greifing is okay as long as its on open?

Solo/group=bad.

But killing players on sight for the lols or hindering a CG for no reason=good?

I swear some just wanna turn ED into EVE 2.0 with out the spread sheets.

I know about that. As a lone explorer there's also a free, although somewhat rank and often times a little too free, spirit following me.

Precisely why there is no need for conflict when we recognize the subjectivity of our claims, anyone that repudiates their empirical equivalence in weigh is our actual enemy. Or do you see yourself as the foe I must confront?

Alright, while I admire intelligent discussion, let's get back on track and laugh at my misfortune, shall we? A fuel stop screwed me out of a ship. Sure, it sucks, still stings, but, you have to admit, it's pretty damned funny.

Agreed, shall we start a campaign on reducing fuel price? Or fill our tanks ourselves and take off before the authority can collect the bill? Which one sounds better to you?

I say the latter.

OK, LOL.

But you know:
A) "Never fly without insurance"
B) "It's a dangerous galaxy!"
C) "In moebius this would never have happened!"
D) "Carebear!"
E) "I never fly without 3x the insurance money! (I'm much better than you!)"
F) "The philosophical implication of your actions are … "
G) "The insurance system needs to be changed!"
H) "Ha ha!"

:D

Is this the same sort of respect shown to those who choose to play solo/pve group?

I think everyone knows about mobius by now.
The constant advertising for that group, everytime somebody posts something related to open play, is getting tedious and approaching spam.
Mobius is not a solution, it's a personal choice. Respect players who WANT to play in open.

Big props to the OP for sharing.

While I have learned to monitor fuel load to avoid shortening my jump range, I will also factor it in when it comes to "pushing it" from an insurance perspective as well,,,,,,,,,,

Fly well Cmdrs.

The least FD could have done is given you a job as windscreen cleaner for a couple of hours to make that 6 bucks.

Someone has to polish those clippers! Good thing that CMDRs can't be sold to imperial slavery (that will be part of the iron man mode: small chance that player survives crash, can't pay insurance, gets sold to imperial slavery and has to do a mini game cleaning Clippers).

OK, LOL.

Brilliant summary.

Also, Since I can't laugh "with you" (I have been fortunate that this has not happened to me) I will simply applaud your ability to find the humor in your experience. You are definitely a step above other posts regarding misfortune....
