You Know You're A Real Explorer When...

... you set your destination in the car's SatNav and then look for the "J" key on the steering wheel!

Never done that, but back when I was playing Elder Scrolls III a lot I did go to meet a friend in a pub and, having checked he wasn't already there, went to the bar to buy a drink. While I was there I remembered the upstairs balcony-type bit above that bar and did, for just a second, think 'I'll just levitate up to check if he's up there while the barman's pulling my pint...' and was briefly confused that I couldn't levitate.

I take it all back, this camouflage scheme can look nice under the right circumstances.

You know you're a real explorer when you have a laptop sitting on your desk so that you can program exploration tools during supercruise. :)

(and you know you're a real programmer when Ubuntu crashes and takes a beautifully hand-crafted script with it, permanently. Which just happened. Don't code without insurance... er, backups. :D )

Am I the only one who's looked at a kerb while crossing the road and briefly thought 'can I just walk or do I have to use the jump key?'
